  • Our main focus on this RUclips channel has been the Geoglyphs and Intaglios that are located in Southern California, Arizona and to some extent in Southern Nevada. This focus will never change, but will be supplemented with occasional visits to the Hohokam ruins of the Perry and New River Mesas.
Black Mesa Ruin / Black Mesa Fort
The first site that we visited was the Black Mesa Ruin, aka Black Mesa Fort. The Fort is one of several in the Perry Mesa complex. It has 12 rooms and is built on the southern point of Black Mesa which is part of the greater Perry Mesa Complex. The approximate size is 110’ by 63’ in width.

I always appreciate your comments. We are kind of a niche type of site. Most people are not interested geoglyphs, intaglios and the occasional pueblo. Plus, my type of presentation is not what the majority wants. Like I’ve told a friend of mind, he a good face man I am more of a behind the scenes type of guy. Thanks for watching.

I bet this was a beautiful Pueblo when it was first built. And with a more tropical climate, the landscape must have been even more so unbelievable!
    It makes my Heart hurt!

This one has a lot of really great petroglyphs near the entrance on the east side, coming from below, including feet and a great corn plant.
It's also clearly at least two stories on the east side.

The one thing about Perry Mesa and the ruins it doesn’t take long on Google Earth until you start finding them. Plus downloading the PDF that I recommended is a real help.
Thanks for watching it is much appreciated.

@@nevadadronearchaeology3554 Bob, you are not kidding. I’ve been looking at Perry Mesa and the surrounding areas, I see many ruins, they appear to have built them at most points at the cliff face. Very remote, access to them would be a serious hike. I know I’ll never visit them in person, but I’m enjoying finding them on Google Earth. Thanks from Fallon, Nevada.

Is there any evidence of battles being fought in the area?
