I had the old motorized Blade Liger from the early 2000s. Looking forward to pre-ordering this one, just to please the inner child in me. Does this anniversary edition also have a heavy-ass metal claw, just like the old Blade Liger model?
Awesome review! This kit is really beautiful and the LED is a big plus for me. Although the motor make it a bit too "toy-ish" for me and the limited articulation is a tad sorry so I wouldn't get one. But still, the design is neat, and it really pops with how shiny the paint job is. I never saw a Tomy kit and always fought they were sold already assembled, so it's nice knowing they are actually buildable.
Tomy kits are more of an entry level to get kids into the zoids hobby that's why they always have the motorized gimmick. After I saw the designs for the new kits I had to add them to my collection, also helps they don't explode lol
I prefer the big heads of the tomy models. Bigger mouths as these thing suppose to bite. You held up the the model as it walk but the stand would do that for you though. LOL

Nope unfortunately it's plastic, however it does come with a nice metal paintjob.
