I wish that I would've known the differences between the pro and rt before I bought my surface 2. The commercials for the Surface 2 do not mention the differences. Can I use the pen on the RT? I found you out from Chris' show. I do like your review, its very complete. Glad your son is better.
I really do love how the surface is the true bridging between tablet and Laptop. I would love to see other tablets doing the same thing; iPad with iOS, and a 'pro' with optimised OS X. I would love to have a windows Surface, but I've really fallen out of love with windows - when it's more integrated and fluid, I'll switch back
As a tech support employee, I'd be interested in this especially as Ibrun around and work from home too so Id be interested in an RDP video and other remote tools and seeing how they cope.

That thing is actually pretty impressive, wouldn't buy one now, but in about 5 years the integrated graphics and CPU power will be amazing in such a small form factor

I would love to see how well the Surface 2 performs with steam in-home streaming. If it can decode 1080p fast enough, you could stream even more impressive games from your main rig.

I didn't have that "confusion" problem that you had with the touch cover. I did have it not registering my keys because of how fast I type, but all in all, the touch cover is good for people that have to look at the keyboard to type. ;P

Barnacules Nerdgasm Glad to hear your son is on the mend. I have the Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 with i5 haswell 8gb of ram using intel intergraded 4400, it runs games astonishingly well for its specs. I play League of Legends at 60 fps on high settings, Black ops 2 it runs at 60 fps as well. It's perfect for throwing it into my college bag and playing games during free periods :) (I run those games at 1920 x 1080)

awesome looking machine, but for the same price you could get a similar spec 13" MacBook Air, though it doesn't have the touch functionality... I guess at the end of the day it all depends on what you want to do with it.
Very true, I wanted something that could be used as a tablet and drawing surface and the MacBook air couldn't pull that off. My wife has an Air and it's a solid machine though.
Sounds right Plunger, the more of the video I watched the nicer it looked (surface) Microsoft isn't doing a great job marketing it, they should sell it as an ultra-portable PC instead of a power-tablet, it really isn't a tablet... it's so much more.

I love your review man! I still prefer the surface pro 2 over the newer ones because its a 16:9 10" at 1080p which is the best for movies and games. Plus you can upgrade it to Windows 10 like any normal PC.

Considering you worked at Microsoft, have you ever tried Linux? If you want buy a laptop with Ubuntu (an easy Linux distro) preinstalled, check out System76. (Even though it's not hard to install it)
So pretty much the only game I play is minecraft ftb, but I would probably want to run office programs like OneNote or Google chrome at the same time. Do you think the 4gb ram version has the capacity to do this at a reasonable fps? It's just such a price jump to the 8gb ram, if the 4gb can meet meet my needs I don't want to push it!! I bought the Acer t100 about a year ago and I love it. So there is an alternative that's not as beefy for those who need a win32 environment.

You can copy the games in your steam common folder from computer to computer and steam will use the files when you click to install.

Another cool feature is that you can run 4k through the display port on the Surface Pro 2 (but not the Original Surface Pro) - AWESOME.

It works with the mouse too. He was probably just showing that the pro 2 works with controllers too, and that it works well.
mous is for faster aim.
I get your point, but you miss mine. It wasn't a tutorial on how to play CS, he was just showing that the surface works with a controller too.
