No, you can use the thread of your choice. Maybe it's easier to make using beading thread and a needle. You need to tie a double knot before cutting off. If you want to make this following the same route, I think that you can probably do by putting 2 needles on the both end of the thread. Thank you❣️

伸びるテグスだと、そこまで細いものがないかと思いますので、伸びないものをお使いになってください😃
何度も通すので1.5号か1号のテグスを使う方が、後半は編みやすいかもしれません。

実際のがたがたの状態はわからないのですが、2周目で乱れるのでしたら、1周目の編み方が少し緩いとか、締めすぎの可能性があるかもしれないです。
またテグス編みで、うねりを軽減するためには、
・表側を決めて常にそちらを上に向けて作ること
・テグスの癖をある程度とってから始める
とよいです。
それと細いテグスの方がうねりづらいと思います。
なにかご参考になりましたら幸いです😊

作ってみてくださりありがとうございます。
実際に見ていないのでがたがたはどんな感じかわからないですが、うねりを軽減するためには、
・表側を決めて常にそちらを上に向けて作ること
・テグスの癖をある程度とってから始める
とよいです。
ビーズを通すごとにゆるんでいるところがないよう引き締めながら作っていきます！細いテグスの方がうねりづらいと思います。
あとは粒の揃ったビーズを使うと綺麗な仕上がりになります。(このリングでは当てはまらないかもしれないですが、例えば100均のシードビーズだと物によっては大きさがバラバラしていたりします。)
