There is a deep theological meaning to this song and video. A lot of churches will try to take away what’s already been done with the sacrifices of Christ, and this song/video confronts that. I could go deeper, but I’d be here for awhile.
Been listening to Demon Hunter since 02/03 and it never gets old. Yes, they are a Christian band, though some of their stuff does touch on darker themes. They have 10 albums out now and about to release #11 later this year. You can hear how they progress and evolve their sound through each album too. They're all unique and yet distinctly Demon Hunter.
They are the pioneers of a movement in early 2000s for metal/hardcore scene. If that was too much try my heart strings come undone epic jam! They have it all and one of my one out of three favorite bands of all time
They are Christian metal. Seen them once about 10 years ago and going to to see them this coming Sunday in Asheville for their 20 years in exhume tour. Song basically saying that even in death they are undying due to their faith in God. Over simplified but easy to understand.
I absolutely adore Demon Hunter for their take on presenting some sort of sorrowfull beauty, combined with thrashing riffs. I'd love to see you react to "Collapsing" or "Driving Nails" to showcase what I mean. They have a pretty big arsenal of songs by now though!
Here’s my take on the video and song. The funeral is for the singer. Everyone is there to mourn his passing. Then he walks into the church and people see him and start running out, obviously startled and scared at seeing a dead man walking. He goes to the casket, throws it open to show he isn’t there (again obviously). Because as Christian’s, we believe in the resurrection and that we will one day join Christ in heaven in fully resurrected bodies. Thus we are undying. Just my take. But they have too many incredible songs to pick just one. Thanks for posting this and I hope you do more. God bless
The song is about the blood of Christ covering our fall, in when we "die" (here on earth), we have that final heartbreak, then blinding lights (the glory of entering eternity in God's presence) will guide us as our name is called to be among the resurrected (undying).
Demon Hunter is a band of Bible believing Christians, who neatly tie their message to every song one way or another. I think the setting of the video is a metaphor for the fact that, as Christians, we understand that people never die, we just change locations when the body dies. The question is, where do you go? The fellows at Demon Hunter and myself believe what the Bible says. Also, FYI: technically, blasphemy is only considered when disrespecting the Lord Himself, His person, or His character, directly. Using the name of God as a means of expression of personal emotion like "OMG" or "G-dammit" etc, is blasphemy. In the case of a metal band playing in a church, it is technically not blasphemy, even if they weren't a Christian band.

I just thought of a great sounding metal band I think you'd love. Theocracy and their song Ghost ship. I think they have 4 albums. I haven't heard a bad song yet. They also sound amazing live. The lead singer sounds live just like he does on the cd's. Just a thought. I really think you'd love their music and style. They are a Christian band, and they can rock it!!

This was a solid OK for me; I was slightly indifferent on the vocal but I thought the music was great. Everytime I see older folks in videos like this, I always wonder if they are related to the band and if they are not, what they say to their families and friends when they are booked for the "acting gig".....
Look up Not Ready to Die or Infected!! One thousand apologies is top 3 only for this band but that one isn’t a banger. It has the best melodies! Edit: like incredible melodies!
