Informative video. However did I miss cleaning the surfaces before applying new chalking? And what about using finisher to smooth the chalking? To easily remove old chalking try using a good stainless steel putty knife. It'll be much easier on your hands and less fatiguing. To remove excess chalking try an appropriate diameter PVC pipe to scoop up. Two birds with one stone. Quick uniform chalking and the excess chalking gets collected inside the pipe. No mess and much quicker.
I am looking at a boat where there is a lot of 5200 in the hull plank seams, the planks are strips of Mahogpny 1 x 3/8 by 1x 7/8. When you encounter 5200 that has to be repaired or removed, What do you do?????
@@marinedetailsupplyco.-tamp3457 Thank you very much for your response. What I have learned is all strip planked boats or most, are glued from the beginning and that 5200 isn't a bad choice when replacing planks strips. I learned that from a surveyor. Thanks again.
Are you guys located off 580 ? Or another place in Tampa I was interested in getting some detailing supplies for my freshwater ranger or getting my boat detailed possibly if that's an option 🤔
@@marinedetailsupplyco.-tamp3457 could you possibly give me a rough estimate for my 21ft ranger to do that hull detailing with the compound video I just watched my boat needs some love before I buy the equipment and do myself next time
