    There's a great video disproving the aggressive cottonmouth myth. Guy almost tries to get bit and can't get them to strike. New sub. I was thruhiking the Foothills Trail when you were making this.

      PS...was it just my computer or did the audio on this video keep jumping from low to high volume?

      Yeah there definitely is a lot of misinformation out there about venomous snakes. And no it wasn’t your computer, it was my phone malfunctioning. This problem was fixed in future videos by using headphones with a mic

    Great watching good job. I did the trail about a month before you and it was a great time. The Guthook ap was great for keeping on the trail in the early parts.

      Yes Guthooks is the way to go for sure! Most of the other hikers out here on the AT are using it too

    wow, great adventure! Looks like you got no issues with ticks or did you treat your gears with permethrin?

    • @trailtakers9277
      @trailtakers9277  2 года назад

      No issues with ticks, mostly just mosquitoes. I didn't end up needing any kind of bug spray and didn't pretreat with permethrin, but it's definitely not a bad idea!

    I watched one of your videos and now they keep popping up in my recommended hehe. I am from Florida. Moving to South Carolina to get away from the lack of outdoor adventures. I didn't know that trail existed. Too bad its mostly on wide fire roads and finishing on pavement. You looked like you made the best of it. Jonathan Dickenson is one of my favorite mountain bike trail in Florida. Good stuff Sister Blister. Guessing thats your nick name from the credits. You still making videos?

      Good luck with your move to South Carolina! You should definitely check out the foothills trail if you like hiking!
      My new trail name is Acorn. And yes I am still posting videos!

      Should move to North Carolina more mountain bike trails or maybe Virgina. Other than that not anymore outdoor adventures then you will find in Florida. Just different kinds. I live north central florida and I'm surrounded by hiking trails, the Florida trail, mountain bike trails, and I'm in between a lagoon and a river. Both sides of me I have wildlife refuge. If your from south florida you only have one tiny part of Florida. I was raised in south florida I would never live there.

    Hi, where did you purchase your map for the trail?

    • @trailtakers9277

      I believe the one I got was straight from the FTA. It wasn't very detailed but it was waterproof and gives you the basics (mileage, camping spots, etc.)
