My Father was an Artilleryman stationed here in the early 70s. Wish i could go back and see it again . I haven't so many memories, it being so long ago, but I do remember the beaches, and the stark beauty of the place.
I did 18 long months in 1995-1997 on the site. Most beautiful place in the summer and the most impressively wild place in the winter. Oh and the midges carried chainsaws as I remember!
woow!!! i also made a video on the beach by the air base. it was amazing at Benbecula! we are cadets and stayed at the base there for a week while doing Duke Of Edinbourg and ir was greAT! we walked over Benbecula, north and south Uist and have seen most of these pictures! check out our video- benbecula beach :)

What a place this is travel by car every year from hampshire to visit Family on the island already planning 2024 live well and healthy
My husband has applied for a job on Benbecula and I've watched this video several times since his application was sent. I so hope he gets the job!
