    Can the Wald player even do anything to close distance or do they basically auto lose if Hilda gets too far away.

      Pay attention to the second round: I obviously have the agency to dictate most interactions in this MU, but her pressure, particularly against someone content to block and let her bleed her GRD dry, has its limits. I won't lie, as Wald, waiting out her bullshit is very annoying, but following the trend of modern day grapplers, he doesn't have bad of a time once he does actually close that distance, and with threatening options like rock throw in vorpal, 214c, ground slam, and your long reach, you actually have a decent amount of ways to punish her for being too greedy with trying to hold onto her turn.
      Air assault is your friend, just don't do it too often. Once you actually get in on hilda, she kinda crumbles. She has very strong defense options in veil off > ex gloom / roomba, dive kick, kick, and ff, but they're strong in that the rewards for landing them are strong. each option she can take is incredibly risky. Waldstein especially brutalizes her up close, and without vorpal she doesn't have a lot of ways to deal with that.

      FF, 22X, 236X all assist him close the distance. MU's in Wald's favor now. Round start for Hilda is literally deciding to back dash or delay back dash. The 5C at the start is an anomaly because 66B for Wald is completely free. Even if Hilda DOES back dash it, it's not her turn.
