@george45uk I like Ogmore. It's a safe place to live I reckon. Still a sense of community, but not quite the same as the place I grew up in. I loved growing up there. Pit trips, chapel trips, club trips....christmas parties....:-) Don't do all that anymore. My sisters still live up there...well 5 of them. :-) I'm only down the road myself.
@craigdk2010 Yes, the public have access to the forestry. It is owned by the Forestry Commission. Most of the area is right to roam land. Particular routes are well marked on Ordinance Survey maps. Hope you like your mountain bike trip.
@looking4ferdy The pits had closed when I came to live here, but there is still plenty of evidence of their existance. I love the mountains, scenery, and history of Ogmore Vale. And thanks for subscribing.
Hi, I have been looking at Googlemaps to plan a mountain bike route through Ogmore Vale. The route I am interested in is Rhiwglyn Road up to the forestry. Could you tell me if the the public have access to the forest. I would like to do a round trip from Brynna to Evans Town, to Ogmore Vale, down to Blackmill and back to Brynna, keeping off roads as much as possible.
@looking4ferdy Interesting, I'm still here. Lived here for ten years now. I rather like the place... not those flats though. Thy have put a new roof on them, but thats all.
That my farm where you started
Great video from porky from Lewistown :)
Thank you.
