Great question! So I have used both addons. Quality and variety is what sets Population apart. 48 different characters in 3 different styles goes a long ways.
Also, the photoscans are high quality with up to 8K textures. This, along with subsurface scattering, makes the single person mode much more appealing.

I bought my LG mouse at walmart. Nothing special.
Quick Pc specs: 3080 rtx 10 Vram, 10 core intel i9, 64 gb ram.
