Steve Pool and KOMO were so intermixed, When I think of Seattle, I think of KOMO and Steve Pool.
RIP Steve and Godspeed. Say hi to Kathi Goertzen and Bruce King from all of us here.
Steve was so much more than a TV personality. He was an inspiration. I am glad Kline Galland Hospice was such a great support .
what a tribute! thanks KOMO for putting that together for us long-time Seattleites, and for you too.
Steve Pool was a staple of my childhood & adulthood. He was familiar, friendly, and always pleasant.
What a wonderful tribute to Steve Pool. I knew I missed Steve Pool but I had forgotten how much. He was such a special man. Condolences to his family.

He was kinda like Bill Nye to us Washington kids. A very special man indeed.
Thank you Steve for everything, you made weather fun and interesting. I remember watching you in the 70's when I was in 6th grade.
When I lived in Seattle (1982-1986) KOMO was my staple and Steve Pool was the front man. Great guy, great station.

RIP Steve 🙏🏽
I remember the first time I saw Steve Pool,he was on Good Morning and I was living in Texas at the time and I was so excited to see someone from home
I can't believe he was 70. I remember Steve on TV when I first moved to Pugetropolis in 91 as he was a ringer for my old weather guy back in CT. He apparently never aged a day since. RIP, Steve.
This was a shock. He will be greatly missed
I loved watching Steve Pool doing the weather when I was a kid. After hearing that he was in debate and how they talked about how well he said things to be understandable easily is why I liked Steve Pool doing the weather a lot. I just learned today that he died and saw this tribute to him and wanted to pay my respects.
Today, I received the news of the passing of Steve Pool, my beloved weatherman, and it deeply saddened me. I recall the time when I used to work in Bellevue Downtown, and he was a frequent shopper at my store. He exuded kindness and remained humble. My thoughts and condolences are with his family during this difficult time. May my esteemed weatherman, Steve Pool, rest in peace.
Rip Steve pool I loved watching the weather every day and Steve Pool was the mane reason why. He had an amazing personality that made my whole day better. You will be missed ❤

I wanna be on TV like Steve Poole when I grow up, I wanna have some fun work hard and get my job done. Take a look around the world and see just what I wanna be. I wanna be an engineer and a train. I wanna be a scientist and use my brain. I wanna drive a truck on the open road wheels rolling to deliver my load. I wanna be a farmer and milk cow grow some crops and ride my plow. I like to play baseball cause I like to pitch. I just know I wanna be rich when I grow up, I wanna have some fun work real hard and get that job done. Take a look around the world and see just what I wanna be. I wanna drive a cat and work in the dirt. I wanna be a nurse and help folks that are hurt. I wanna be a pilot high in the sky in a jet plane I’m gonna fly. I wanna be an astronaut and fly to Mars I wanna be in astronomer and study the stars. I like to fix cars when they get a dent I wanna be the president when I grow up. I wanna have some fun work real hard and get the job done. Take a look around the world and see just why I wanna be just what I wanna be.
Great Seattle icon. If he had lived on, I'm sure he would have continued his good works.
He came to my school when I was in kindergarten and promoted a T-shirt on air for “Voyager Elementary.”
I was never fortunate enough to meet him and shake his hand but I felt as if he was a good friend none the less. He reached out and touched people through the screen and made them feel as if they were his friend, he had that rare special ability. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his beautiful family, friends and to the entire community that cherished him. Rest in peace my legendary friend!
Such a fixture throughout my life growing up in the PNW.

Very nicely done. Fond memories of a graceful man. I remember him well over the years. My mother loved KOMO for many years but most especially Steve. We were Weather watchers for many years and very connected to the people of KOMO. Thank you.
