OMG I had been stuck on something for months and solved it in just a few minutes following your excellent tutorial. I will be forever grateful! The Yoast Duplicate Post plugin was a life saver. Thank you!
Wow! I was working for some hours on customizing my first website using this theme ... and this tutorial shows up in my youtube notification! Just about the time i wanted to do exactly what's on the tutorial too! Thanks so much for all the content you are putting out on this theme. Much appreciated.
@@IdeaSpot Hi, Do we need to use a Kadence child theme or the main parent theme for changes in all pages home, services, and blog pages, like u have done in your videos, waiting for your more help, thanks in advance :)
Newbie here. Why I cant see this layout on nav.menu? Only can see it after I set up /blog/category. And from wp dashboard and customizer page different too
Hi, great video. I have just made a website but noting changes when I do what you're doing? The strange thin is, it's only the Blog page that won't see any changes? Any ideas?
Great video. In the section where you clone a page and turn it into the "marketing" page, are you essentially creating a custom category page? If we do this, do we then need to do a redirect from the default category page that Wordpress will have created?
Hi nice tutorial.. but when I am manually customising the blog page, it is ok in block editor but the main blog page is not changing. The main page is changing when I'm changing anything from appearance . But by block editor it is not working...😓
how does one customize a post then save the whole post layout as a template for repeat use in Gutenberg (e.g., featured image, heading, subheading, bullet points)?
I've got a problem. I customize my website to be right sidebar but it doesn't show at the right instead it heads down and the whole page looks like it's on full width. Is there anything i can do about this?
Thank you for this video. You earned a subscriber! I learned a couple of new things which is great. I was, however, hoping your tutorial would cover what I feel is either a huge missing feature in Kadence or is a bug. Perhaps you could enlighten me? I installed Kadence and added the "Recent Posts" block to my homepage, but I wanted the background of the block to be dark while using white text and having a light gold color for the links. But shockingly the "Latest Post Block" doesn't have an option to change link colors, so the theme is using a default black link text which means I can't use a dark background color AND because the link text matches the regular text no one will ever know the links exist! I did see that there was an option to change link text in the outer Row Layout Block and in the editor it "appears" to work but if I save the changes it does not show up on the actual site (yes I refreshed) so that option clearly doesn't work to change Recent Post Block link colors. Do you know if Kadence has any way to change the Recent Post Block link colors?
Hi, This is in the pro version: themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-10/post-grid-carousel/ The free version just uses the standard wordpress 'latest posts' block which doesn't have a lot of styling options as you've noticed - but you can still style it using CSS if you'd like a free solution.
I would love to talk to you about working with Kadence further. I help manage the partnerships for KadenceWP. Is there an email address I can contact you with?
You solved my issue with this video, thank you! ❤😊

Another simple, clear explanation of this very useful theme and Gutenberg blocks. Brilliant.

Could save your post as a draft then duplicate it when needed > ruclips.net/video/kHr24ocYmOk/видео.html

Is it possible to a) add posts to the homepage using the basic Kadence Theme or b) add text to the latest posts page?

@@IdeaSpot Oh, ok. Thank you.
Are Kadence posts faster to load than posts using Gutenberg Blocks?
Should be about the same, the number of posts & images you want to display will be the main factor rather than which template you choose here
Great!
Where are these starter templates and blog layouts which you say comes with Kadence? I can't find any of them.
Check the kadence starter template plugin
Yes mine the same too. Only 4 pages. Not until I dig it inside dashboard- all post.
why does my edit page look so different? i cant edit the layout with gutenberg
How does "Page" become a "category"? It doesn't work. It doesnt show up like that
Thanks excelent video. How can i remove post date from this template?
In the customizer, it’s called post meta
Can comments be added to posts?
Yes for sure, make sure it’s ticked in the Wordpress discussion settings and on the post settings
