Incredible content man, subbed, also I 100% agree with your comments about this dlc, I know that SA wasn't pretty useful during WW2, but damn, this bring so much fun to the game, as a brazilian it's really fun to have some flair and viability to play with your nation, hope they give us some majors dlc (much needed) but I'm super ok with these flavour packs, could just be less expensive (my main gripe). The issue with the dlc for me is that every country no matter the path is basically the same . Sure you played communist brazil but there was no different end goal than monarchist or brown party you conquered sa and cored it and then kill one major faction. Your video was very enjoyable though
I kinda disagree but you’re kinda right. Maybe it’s just because I love the continent and the history of the region, so I could be biased there. But when thinking back, playing Brazil and playing Argentina kinda felt the same, so yeah, you’re kinda right. Maybe I need to try the non OP paths and see how they are.
i remember that i basically got carried by the soviets in my brazilian civil war (tried to get olga benario prestes as country leader), maybe the geography simply isn't as friendly towards quick civil wars like it is with germany. EDIT: the game definitely should give you harsher punishments if you stack too many divisions in one tile (even if it has port access).
The terrain definitely isn’t very helpful, plus Germany gets a +25% attack bonus while it has Mackensen as a leader and you don’t get that kind of bonus as brazil. I think if I did some naval invasions from the start I could’ve won waaaaaaaaay sooner lmao, but honestly, it was fun. Hard fought but fun.
In the beginning you said that mountaineers are great in jungle. What makes them good? I thought marines were the go to jungle troops since they get a bonus to jungle fighting in their doctrine tree
You won’t be fighting in jungle long, and even with jungle marines, it takes forever. Just avoid main conflicts in jungle tiles. It’s inevitable that you’ll have to fight in the Andes, which can become a massive pain, but mountaineers are amazing in mountains, so I focus more on them.
I’ll add it to the list! It’ll have to be from a mod though as the country doesn’t exist in Vanilla (the USSR and all her ssr’s are just one giant country)
rewatched this video so I could figure out how to actually win the civil war, ive tried twice now and I just cant do it, you have no industry because youre in the north and the supply is absolutely horrendous
Blame paradox lmao. They nerfed the South American countries so bad this last month. Also, my advice would be to just focus on a good 3-4 mountaineer divs, use those in the main of your country, and then do a couple sneaky naval invasions along the coast. It’s more tedious now, but apparently that’s what paradox what’s now.the mountaineers should focus on encirclements and wiping units out.

Just rush the coast tiles, micro onto supply depots. Be patient and use your best units to push with the others just hold.
