    OH MY, when you were scraping towards your hand, I immediately got scared. I have to regularly remind myself when I’m crafting to go away from myself with sharp/cutting tools. The accident would not be good at all…blood, lost products, ER time & money!! Be careful 😊 Great DIYs & thanks for sharing!!!

    Hi Tina! Love all the new stuff! Everything turned out lovely! I have some clipboards in my stash. Now I know what to do with them! Thank you for sharing your awesome skills and ideas! P.S. I just grabbed a transfer from your Etsy shop 🎉

      @@Tinawilliams777 yep got them out of my stash today and will start painting in a few minutes. We don’t have any good shops here where I live to rent booth space so the only sources I have to sell my items are eBay and Etsy. Much slower sales and I recently had to rent a 10x15 storage unit to house everything 😵‍💫

    Hey Tina, love the video. I normally used Amazing Casting resin, and to save money bought the Fabri Cast like you are using. My resin was setting up way too quick with this and read online that I had to use small amounts mixed to slow it down, because I was mixing large cups, next I found I can't re-heat this and mould it to the way I want, and it cracks and breaks the castings sometimes when coming out of the moulds. I already ordered some of the Amazing Casting resin because it does not set up too quick, it does set up in 15 min. and I can re-heat it to bend my moulds. It also doesn't crack or as brittle as the Fabri Cast. I thought you might enjoy this info.

      Yes it’s like five minutes and it sets up. I used another brand that I like before called Let’s Resin it worked pretty much the same as amazing casting resin. I will say the time I used fabri cast it worked fine. The only thing I did different is I didn’t mix it as long. I am going to try that cause I have a lot left let you know.

      I think it was lees than five minutes. I have a lot left over but I am going to go back to what I used last time. Let’s Resin. It works pretty good. Yes amazing casting resin works well but I use a lot so I thought I would save some money. But this doesn’t work that well. The let’s resin is about the same price and it works pretty well.

      @@Tinawilliams777 Agreed, was trying to save money because I do a lot of moulds too. Oh my gosh, Mine set up so quick I did not even have time to go back and push it into the corners of the intricate moulds, I definitely did not like that and did not have that problem with the Amazing casting resin. Plus I like to heat my moulds and it stinks that I can't with all of these moulds I have made up, but because I didn't want to waste it either. Lesson learned..LOL.

    Don't throw away the transfer sheet on the guilded transfers when you're done! There's even a hint on the package that you can use it to decopauge or for other projects after you've used it to transfer onto something...

    How do you price your projects. Fusion and transfers are expensive so I’m trying to figure out what to price projects at.

    • @Tinawilliams777
      @Tinawilliams777  Месяц назад +3

      Fusion really is about the same as other paints per ounce. But if you think about it if you don’t have to use a primer or topcoat that is also saving you product and time. That is a big savings to me. To me it ends up being less expensive than many other paints. The transfers if you use them like I do they help make your project special and stand out. There was nothing special about the clip board until I added the stamp and the transfer and mould. So that’s how I can charge $18 to $22 for a clipboard I paid less than two dollars for. So it sells your products for you makes it stand out from the beige crowd you can buy at any home goods or Walmart. If transfers cost $40 but you divide it up over 10 to even 15 projects that are around $20 all you have to do is sell 2 @ $20 and you are making a good profit on the other eight items. I used two total packages of transfers books on some antique windows I bought for around $10 each. So my total cost was around $50. Per window. I just sold two of them for $150 each. Same with inlays I sold two book stacks at $20 each I used pieces of inlay for the second and third time. That’s after I made two items with them a tea pot and a tray that sold for $75 total. So yes the initial investment is a bit but you more than make it up in sales is my experience. Your making something special that stands out from the crowd. . I wasn’t sure if that stuff would sell. At least for me I can’t make things fast enough. People want special and different. Not beige and boring. Try it and see what your market is.
