Hey everyone, what worked for me was making a duplicate of the original video, importing that into AE and select the 'damaged' footage. Once you selected the 'damaged' footage, hold the 'Alt' command while dragging the new imported video and drop it on the selected 'damaged' one. Doing so will replace the old footage.
@@spidzy3423 sorry I should have worded that better. 1. Go to the original file location of the damaged footage on your computer and then right click it and choose copy.(Ctr + C) 2. Paste the 'damaged footage' you just copied (Ctr + V) and now you should see a duplicate of the video with the word 'Copy' in it. 3. Go back to After Effects and import that new duplicated 'Copy' of the original 'damaged' into your project files. 4. Select/click on the file that is 'damaged footage' with the weird colored icon. After that 'damaged' one is selected hold 'ALT' on your keyboard and 'click&drag' the new 'Copy' version you just imported Directly On the highlighted 'damaged footage' and it should be replaced with the 'Copy' without any rendering changed. ...I hope that was a little more helpful, if not feel free to reach out and I'll send a vid.
