The email part is my favourite part! My mum isn't keen on comedy where comedians swear without needing to, and my sister and I had introduced her to him on Top Gear going "Look, you'll REALLY like him - he's so funny!", and she was going "I've heard his voice. He just sounds so posh and annoying!". Now he just has her in hysterics! She hasn't been to his tours like me and my sister, but she's watched his DVDs and watches his TV programmes and absolutely loves them!
The 3rd of his show videos I am watching and sure enough I am going to binge watch all night. It's just perfect: Creative, non-swearing, spot on. I just fell in love with his humor.
many years ago when my son was in 1st grade I made a greeting card from my son ( at my son's request) for her Majesty. we sent it off with a photo inside and a request for a photo.. well we got a response! her lady in waiting wrote back ..saying the queen held and looked at the card and conveyed her thanks to young master Colin.........however the Queen only gives out pictures of herself to her closest friends...etc it was so cool getting a letter from Buckingham Palace, and knowing the Queen ( a super distant cousin) touched the card etc. to my horror on the way to taking my son to show off his letter to his classmates he dropped it in the floorboard of the car and when reaching for it stepped on it leaving a big muddy shoe print.. you could have seen me like in a movie in slow motion..screaming..nooooooooooooooo. oh well, still cool
The ma'am like jam was so heartwarming for me. I love this movie "The King's Speech". It's about George VI the father of Elizabeth II and The Queen Mother. And there she says that she wants to be called ma'am like jam. So the moment he said "ma'am like" I was like "like jam!". I didn't know if that could have been actually real when she lived, but now here is the proof and it still works, so, that was lovely.
Ethan Cross if you look at Google Reviews of the Colosseum in Rome, some people have given it 1 star. 1 fucking star!!! This is a 2000 year old amphitheater that could hold up to 80000 people! They used to fill it with water and hold mock sea battles. Unbelievable. He's a HEMA(aka historical European martial arts) inthusiest and he has a LOT of swords which he fights with regularly. actually a friend of my dad's got married in armor and instead of a first dance they fought, all this was at a prominent HEMA tournament and my dad was best man. it was AWESOME

I would love to see a movie in which a terrorist breaks through all the security to get into Westminster Abbey and sabotage Kate and William's wedding. There to stop the stampeding maniac is Prince Charles, sword in hand, battling it out in the middle of the aisle, backed up by Prince Phillip with his bow and arrows, and Her Majesty the Queen brandishing the Royal Nunchuks. Meanwhile Prince Harry calls in his army buddies and gets his hands on a submachine gun just in case things get too hairy, acting as personal bodyguard for Kate in the ensuing chaos. I personally would pay would pay good money to see a Battle Royale version of Kate and William's wedding!! XD
They could be taking cover with the priest behind the altar, supplying Prince Harry with bullets for his sub machine gun :D If Prince Harry is incapacitated, Prince William could take his place and open fire screaming as a hail of bullets rain down on the terrorists trying to get in from above.
Actually, my dad is a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, and he had a full Knights honor guard at his wedding, all bearing swords, and I believe he even wore his uniform. Been a while since I've seen the tape, though.
I met the Queen in California when I was working in Yosemite National Park. I didn't know what to say or do... we aren't schooled in these things. It was a bit nerve-wracking. She is tiny - I'm 6' 4" and towered over her.
