That skit was 💯. I live 30 minutes from American Bass and when I first moved to Ohio years ago I called them up to and asked if I could come and view their facility and see how they make their products. The owner was honest with me with his broken english he told they DO NOT make anything there, its just basically a warehouse where they receive products from overseas
@@mattm2684 unfortunately it’s not just them bro. That’s how it is nowadays but for American Bass it’s worse because the owner isn’t American and the products aren’t American which is fine until you name your company American Bass 🤷🏽♂️
Yes it’s great that you’re standing by your principles, especially when you know the person and that person wants to help you grow. But it sucks when they want you to lie about their company. Another good video Jeff, keep um coming bro 😊😊😊
Beautiful! Exactly, most of these Vloggers self-proclaimed bass pros are under the influence of the manufacturers. it's obvious ..... Not just in car audio but every single niche market is infected with vloggers turned self-proclaimed professionals. We cannot trust the vlogger; their mission is notoriety. We can trust the professional, but how do we know a professional. Well, because they create content like this right here 👍
Awesome honesty & straight forward review on the ab 5d. I've been thinking about the GF11d lately and I'm glad I've held off so far. they do look like their boards are nice Korean board type amps but I was careful cause it's real hard to get any actual specs even from the american bass website
@laurantsmccloskey5927 I’ll share more in the 11d video once the tech finishes it. They cut costs on parts, using the same board as the cheaper Surge 10k. I wouldn't recommend the American Bass amplifier due to its quality and their poor handling of the review situation-they stopped responding and sent used, returned amps. Have you checked out the Ruthless 10k? It's similar but has much better components and a strong power supply. Thank you for watching! I appreciate the support I've received throughout this journey. 🙏
It could be a protection circuit thats throwing it into protect. may not be due to "cheaper" component's. Also efficiency.. you spell it with an A. Anyway enjoy and ill watch what you put out.
@@bobdodge3171 hey man, thanks for watching and you are right for other amps it could be a protection circuit. For these amps though I went and had the other two amps fixed and unfortunately these amps have cheaper parts in them. I had the two larger amps rebuilt with better mosfets and stuff. I really investigated this situation before I made this video. That amp has nothing in common with these or the other surges. Again I have a video about that amp. Mine wasn’t bad but a lot of people got bad smoking 3k’s
Yes and no, unfortunately it’s complicated. So these amps are an attempt at higher end stuff for them. Some will be confused because this amp does make its rated power and even more but it’s also more liable to break on you because the parts they used were not the best. I think the smaller amp did ok (that’s the amp in this video) just because it handles smaller amounts of power but their bigger ones just seem to be made badly. Especially the power supply section. I will be definitely getting into it more in the next GodFather video in about 2 weeks. I hope to see in the comments there! Thanks for watching!
