    Many times people are not there when a foal is born. So what do you suggest?

      The mare should be okay giving birth alone, but if you’re worried install a camera and keep an eye on it around her due date. 😊

      Do as I did, check on her ever 45 minutes. Then you can check if all is OK. Make sure she passed the afterbirth. And yes disinfect the foals umbilical cord. And it nurses fairly soon after its born.
      He's giving great advice. People need to listen to the equine vets. Especially if they're not really knowledgeable horse people.
