"Underwater" and "Howl" were Chuu's reflection of everything she went through during the fight with BlockBerry Creative: anxiety, fear, depression, hope, and finally rebirth. She knew she was risking her entire career when she stood up to BlockBerry, as did the other members, and she had no idea how it would turn out. Now that the worst of that experience is disappearing behind her, and all of the members of Loona are thriving on their new paths, Chuu's new comeback "Strawberry Rush" showcases her signature bright energy and celebrates the excitement that she feels for her own and her members' new starts.

Yes the monster is good, lol! The MV and song are basically about perspective and state of mind and how it can affect one another. In the begining of the video, Chuu is in a really dark place, both physically and mentally. It's meant to represent to the state of mind she was in during the legal battle against BBC and being separated from her members. So when the monster appears, he seems scary to her, and she's afraid. However, as you can see, after he appears, her body starts to move on its own, and she's being pushed to the light / to the outside. That's the monster doing that! He's pushing her towards the light, to heal. She gets out of the dark place and start to enjoy little pleasures in life. When the big monster re-appears (in the light, this time), he's a lot less scary, seems more friendly, although he's essentially the same he's always been. Perspective and state of mind. ;) Strawberry Rush is a lot more brighter and happier. But you'll see familiar faces there as well. :) As for the pre-debut mascot thingy, you're probably thinking about the Penguin plushie Chuu had in Heart Attack? Chuu's representative animal in the LOONAverse was indeed a Penguin. Her representative fruit was....wait for it....a strawberry. ;)
