FYI: This is the part I was asking about a couple of days ago. My friend let me know that it fits on the bobbin winder. Brother Spool Pin (Horizontal) XG9521001. She found an image online. It is an accessory with my Brother. My thread still unspools the opposite of what the manual suggests when I use the spool that is under the cover. The thread goes over, not under as pictured in the manual.
Hello Cathy. Would you do a video on what to do while you are embroidering and you run out of bobbin thread? This has happened to me when I was doing a Disney design, and when I tried to put a new bobbin in, the design cancelled on the screen. Thank you.
Thank you so much for doing this because I have the same machine.....I am following you so please continue to do these videos. Afraid to use it ,.I'm Janice
Thanks for such a great video! I just purchased this machine and my stitches in sewing mode are very loose. What do you recommend I do to fix this? Thanks!
You need to raise the presser foot. There is a piece that moves out of the way to let you thread it past 4 when you do this. They have this because if you don’t thread the machine with your foot up, it may not get all the way into the tension. To mail a long story short, raise you foot up and you should be able to thread it v
@@MooresSewing I've tried that. The small piece in number 4 will not all me to thread it there. Tried it with presser foot up and down, still doesn't work. Machine is brand new!
Press the needle up position to raise the needle to the higher position. If this doesn’t work send you contact information to George.moore@moores-sew.com. I will give you a call tomorrow to walk you through it.
I had same problem. after coming up #4 hold the thread that went up #4 hold close to edge when coming down #5 you keep threat against the edge and you will finally feel it catch on part. if you don't hod the thread against the edge all the way down it won't threat the needle. hope this helps.
Hi, thank you for a really good video. I have one question, it is about the needle...Normally the sewing needle is different to an embroidery Needle...do we change it, when we swap over modes?
It is recommended to use an embroidery needle when embroidering. This will give the best results. However, often a universal size 80/12 will work fine.
How much does the machine weigh? Does it really weigh 51 pounds? Or is that with the box? How long is the machine? I can only find its length including the box.
I am using the Disney cone shaped thread to embroider for the first time. I am not sure how to put it on the pin. (Why not just put it on a regular spool. :/)Do I use the horizontal spool pin? I can't find any directions for using it in the manual. I sure don't know how to attach it to the machine. Any help would be great. I have everything read to go, and I have used standard spools. I can follow those directions. Maybe, you have it in this video? At what point in the video? I probably just missed it.
You can put it on the horizontal spool pin and use the smallest thread cap. The cap should be the one that just fits in the opening at the top of the spool, not larger than that.
@@MooresSewing there are no directions in the manual that I could find for how to attach that horizontal spool pin to the machine. Maybe, it will be obvious when I try to set it up tomorrow. I don't want to break it. It wasn't my night. I did use standard thread. I started Tinkerbell, and I created her wings. Yay. Then, the pattern didn't automatically highlight the next part of the design. UGH. Is there a reset button that I accidentally hit. I did email Brother. I didn't see that in troubleshooting. I have created a design twice with this machine. Wasn't my first time. I appreciate your quick replies. You are very helpful.
@@MooresSewingI get what you're saying This is in a bag, and that is NOT what is pictured as #26 in the quick reference guide accessories. I wish I could send you a picture. It is pictured in the Quick Reference Guide. It flips up. Page 3 of the guide. It has all of the accessories pictured. If I don't need that little device, then the thread has to come off the spool a certain direction. I look at the photo, and the spool has to be inserted the small end first so that the thread is moving in the correct direction. It is silly. But I need to know. Thanks for all of your help.

Yep same here, have had my machine for a little over a year and had no idea either that it sews sideways, I LOVE IT❤️❤️So happy I found you.
Thank you for a wonderful review. I just purchased a NQ3600D from a quilt show. You have taken the fear of starting to get to know my machine away.
OMG! I have had this machine for a little over a year and I had NO IDEA that this would sew sideways!!!!
Thank You so much Cathy! great and easy explanations !
thank you. I have learned so much watching you
I have this machine and loved this video. Really helpful. Can you also do custom embroidery designs as well?

What do you use to avoid indentations on your embroidered piece
My machine keeps skipping stitches even when I change the tension. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
WHEN did this machine come out..is there a tutorial on cleaning and maintenance
It came out approximately 3 years ago.

Kindly, the alignment (bobbin hook position) for this NQ3600D please.

Can we use regular usb sticks with other purchased designs?
Yes you can

The weight is for both the machine and embroidery unit. This is the shipping weight. BTW this model has been replaced by the NQ3700D

Absolutely, it has many appliqué stitches plus there are appliqué embroidery patterns available.

When you take it in to a dealer for service they are points internally for lubrication.
