I have to admit, I was down on Thorne. It didn't seem like he had pocket awareness as far as timing. But hearing him speak and seeing that he did have bright moments last season I think I'm ready to have confidence in him leading the Tigers this year! WDE
Game day will be the test ...until then his attitude looks good.
I think his pocket awareness is getting better, like it looks solid in the Aday film, and he did an ok job in the iron bowl. I think his low point is his accuracy honestly

I think I might’ve changed my opinion on Payton. I hope he is good because I want him to do good, but it’s a little hard to trust after like year. I think he may have it tho!!

At Ole Miss Freeze trusted his lackluster QB’s to run it back a second year and they improved DRAMATICALLY. I think PT goes for 2500, 15 and 8 int’s. If he can do that coupled with a good run game we can compete with anybody.
He was running for his life on nearly every play last year. Hope our O Line has improved. Not seen this mentioned. Give him good receivers and a O-line, maybe dangerous. WDE!

we have to be honest with ourselves … the receivers didn’t help him out and he didn’t help them … i don’t like the way people are talkin like just because the receivers are better means Thorne will be better… he had some problems last year that even prime Calvin Johnson wouldn’t solve .. he had to improve as well
Auburn had the most drops in the SEC. Dudes couldn’t get open, then when he hit them in the hands they dropped it😂

he was dead last QBR in the SEC and Dead Last in yards per game passing, and no it wasn't everyone else's fault..😂
He failed to pre snap read the defense, bailed on clean pockets, ran from ghosts and failed to see wide open receivers in every game last season...
It's time he plays like a 5th year graduate transfer or sit... jury's out we will see on game day and we won't know anything until game 5, the Oklahoma game...all tune ups before then.
The interview didn't sell me. His hesitation is answers mirror his play. I am trying to give him benefit of doubt but I just don't see the passion, drive or skill set. I hope he proves me wrong....but if he is who we think he is, Hugh better not hesitate to.sit him down and give the young guns a chance.
He will be better this yr. U learn frm your mistakes. Nobody is perfect. The team will do good. Stop doubting them. We get talked dwn enough by the SEC don’t need fans doing it. GO AUBURN. WAR EAGLE
