I truly appreciate your awareness of the circumstances with regard to the financial impact of our circumstances on a global scale. It’s refreshing to come here and find Solutions that break up the monotony of the less expensive options, especially ground meats. Much Love! Many blessings!
It has that same thing going on that I love about Banh Mi sandwiches, fatty richness of meat combined with a bunch of crispy bright fresh veggies & cilantro. I'd be happy turning this into a sandwich on a toasted french roll
Really good to know. Especially since I often cook for one or two. Hate being wasteful so this option seems perfect! Thank you for sharing this good tip.
Thank you for sharing the tip. However, I was about to get a container of frozen minced lemongrass at the market when I noticed that artificial color is added to it so no go for me.
You had me at “you’re going to want to keep eating and eating!” I absolutely live how you presented the dish for Dude to taste. An economical meatball suddenly looked like a restaurant meal with the accoutrements. Yummy!! TFS, Sharon🤗🇺🇦
Great recipe Flo! You have also given me inspiration to explore and dress up the humble meatball. I'm trying to increase my protein, while using clear flavorful broths. I can make the meatballs ahead, freeze and then drop them into the hot soup broth. Thanks so much for this helpful video! ~ Diane
You know I try you recipe about egg drop soup very yummy so every your recipe I make it because you only perfect and yummy taste thank you so much to share in RUclips God bless you
Very tasty thanks I couldn’t up load the pictures I made it, very nice Instead of chopping the lemongrass I chop it and boiled it with little water, used the same water to make a corn starch mix after it cool down The sauce I just used Thai sweet and chilli , lazy 😅
saving me here. we love oriental food of all kinds but costs have gone out of control. i love cooking more than anything so your channel makes it very easy to try a new dish anytime we want and now even far east wonders are still within reach. thankyou. by the way the "butt" of the onion is known as the mustache in my house. galloping gormets tag....so yeah thats from the 1970's.
Sauteed onions and shallots are good, but if it's to be added as a seasoning or marinade to raw meats etc and will be cooked, then that adds the flavor to the meats as it's being cooked, as it cooks with it and springs it's juices , as in this case the meatballs. Just my thoughts.
Dude’s expressions with this taste, his eyes were huge Flo, that must have felt good to see! Gonna try this one soon. Made your garlic noodles the other night and let’s just say that it’s good I live alone!😂
Great idea and look very tasty too , must give it a try , I don’t normally buy mince pork at the store , not very confident in what they mince , so will use a pork chop and mince it , have a great day to you and your family.🙏
Hi there, love your channel and I also reside in Vancouver! May i ask where you got your juicer from? I wasn’t able to locate it in the video description or your amazon products page. Thank you 🙏🏼
Wonder vid as always. Keep up the great work. Was wondering what the make, model and btu’s of your gas wok grill is? My stove doesn’t have enough heat. Thank you Flo.
Yes! I knew there was something about your tastes that I identify with. Raw onions no, grilled absolutely! It turns out so many people are allergic in varing degrees to raw onions. I am partially allergic to raw onions. Green raw onions will almost kill me. Can you imagine, my dad forced me to eat (the white part) raw green onions as a kid. The green part is the worst for me. Sorry! Allergies are no joke. Love you Flo and Dude! Got your book and can't wait to get started. Thank you!!! I envy you Dude!✌😘👌 💞💞💞💞💞
Hi Flo and Dude…these meatballs look so delicious and simple to make. I’ll try making these with ground chicken. Thank you for another amazing recipe. I appreciate the simplicity of the recipe and your instructions. Have you ever thought of teaching a cooking class as a night school course locally? 😊🇨🇦
Flo & Dude - I LOVE you guys and appreciate your recipes and channel SO much - but, GARLICKY isn't a word - neither is chocolatey, or Christmasey and water can only be added in drops, teaspoons or tablespoons - rather that bits (of water) PLEASE keep your amazing videos coming!
I don’t necessarily prefer corn oil but it’s what my mom used. And I get a free jug when I buy 2 sacks of rice. LOL! Otherwise I buy whatever is on sale between vegetable, canola and corn oil. 😉
Assuming this serves 4, sodium is pretty high. Just the 4 tablespoons of fish sauce and tablespoon of oyster sauce adds up to about 7000 mg total. This dish looks to be about 2000 mg sodium per serving.
You’re excellent chef I like all your videos but when it comes to sugar en the food it’s something that I really can’t stand. As. A diabetic person I don’t want to see the word sugar in my food. That’s all
Awesome recipe for those watching food budgets as the economy gets worse! (who voted for that resident in the whitehouse? I sure didn't!) Would love to see your pickled diakon recipe!
We’re all feeling the pinch… make these delicious meatballs at home and save money! Happy Sunday! 💕
Looks delish and can’t wait to try it soon.

Lately I’ve been air frying my meatballs, with great results 😃

You can buy the frozen-already-mince lemongrass at the Asian supermarket. 👍
Really good to know. Especially since I often cook for one or two. Hate being wasteful so this option seems perfect! Thank you for sharing this good tip.

Flo you are so frugal anyway so this is brilliant & as are we in our family. So looking farward to your new bloggs, thankyou 😊 xx
I honestly don't know why I waited this long to try this recipe out, but am finally 'happy mouth and tummy'. DELICIOUS!!
These look so delish. Going to make them this week.

I use the meat tenderizer and hammer out the lemongrass before finely chopping it. (Less waste and not as fibrous).
It looks so healthy. I want some now.
Looks delicious thanks for sharing one of your amazing recipes. Hvea great Sunday
Very pleasant lady very nice voice and I love your food
Thanks so much. UR full of tasty yet simple recipes. 🙂
Looks good. Must try
I haven’t any pork but i have ground Turkey. Im fixing them tomorrow. I love this recipe. My grandson’s love some meatballs.

Looks delicious, thanks for sharing. Stay well and safe.
The plate is beautiful!
Love it. Now I just need the pickled daikon recipe 🙏😅
Google is your friend. 😉
I found a great pickled daikon and carrot recipe at one blog! Can I share the blog name or is that a faux pas?
This looks so good. Could you please consider doing a video on how you make your pickled daikon radishes. Thanks so much for your wonderful videos.
This looks so yummy. What a pretty plate. Just in time for spring
This looks so good! I found dried ground lemongrass at the Asian market. Going to try this. I also just bought your cookbook from Amazon :)
I always saute my onions, as well. Raw crunchy onion is for example in turkey dressing puts me off as it tastes undone !

Sometimes the shallots or onions are not cooked enough in the meatballs for my liking.
Ok 👍... Anyway, thanks for sharing your wonderful recipes with us 👍🙏
Looks so good. All I would add is a stein of beer. I'm gonna try making this recipe.
Thanks Flo and Dude!
Making me hungry. Thank you so much
Flo! Do you have a cookbook? If not, do you have plans on having one?
Flo Dude you still ROCK!!
These looks so flavorful and delicious. Thank you 😊
Dude’s expressions with this taste, his eyes were huge Flo, that must have felt good to see! Gonna try this one soon. Made your garlic noodles the other night and let’s just say that it’s good I live alone!😂
Flo, Thks for showing us how to prepare lemongrass. I used to be clueless. How about a recipe for your picked daikon?
Yes please Flo!
yes!! cking around the playlist to see if posted
@@s4r4h4rp3r not Flo’s recipe but look up Momofuku restaurant pickled turnips they are amazing and last forever
Thank You for sharing Flo. I’m not familiar with Vietnamese food I will try to make this looks delicious.
Looks so good! Thank you for another wonderful recipe!
Looks great! Absolutely going to try this.
This was really delicious thank you!

Recently discovered your channel and love you and Dude! Question - where we live we can't get lemon grass. Is there a substitute? Thanks!
Unfortunately I have no idea what would sub for that. If you can find it, you can omit it and it will still be a very tasty meatball.
Yes you can buy a jar of lemongrass paste on Amazon for around 10.00 😊. Oh !! And also in powder form .
Enjoy all your recipes and videos!! Typically after watching a vid I think to myself, DUDE! save me one :)
Wonder if it is still good with little to no sugar in the recipe? It looks amazing 🤩
You can probably decrease the sugar in the meatballs but the dressing does need that amount to balance out the salt and sour.
Wonder vid as always. Keep up the great work.
Was wondering what the make, model and btu’s of your gas wok grill is?
My stove doesn’t have enough heat.

You like me I saute my onions first, ops hi Flo and everyone. A recipe I must try. 😋
You should do a video of how to make sesame balls I love those
I'm gonna try it
Lovin' your videos!
Love that you use lime juice in the dipping sauce. It tastes sooo much better than rice wine vinegar that some recipes use?
Whoops…question mark got on the end of the sentence by mistake 😂
Looks like another winner Flo!

Wow, this looks so good. I have been missing out by not eating Vietnamese food. Thank you for sharing such great simple amazing dishes. 👏🏼👏🏼🤤🤤
Love your recipes cloud I use this pork in a banh mi sandwich?
they look delicious!
With all the side dish vegies it's very balance recipe.
You have beautiful knife skills.
Love your video's. I don't really subscribe to anyone but I'm subscribing to you for sure. Thanks for sharing this beautiful knowledge. 💯💯💯
Looks yummy meatballs recipe
Mmmmm!!!! Looks so delicious❤️
Agree with you
Made this last night minus the sauce coz I'm lazy and it was so good.
I agree with you about the onion and shallots c I can't stand raw it makes me sick
Hey, Flo.. do you have a recipe for the pickled daikon?
Flo... I love your recipes! I have a question about the oil. You said that lately you are using Corn... I usually use Canola. Why do you prefer Corn?
I don’t necessarily prefer corn oil but it’s what my mom used. And I get a free jug when I buy 2 sacks of rice. LOL! Otherwise I buy whatever is on sale between vegetable, canola and corn oil. 😉
@@FloLum Thanks! I'm Frugal too!
I asked but you never told where to buy your cookbook. I searched and only found the one for a slow cooker. Please let me know.

Oh well. Not everyone closely monitors sodium content. The beauty of cooking at home is you can leave ingredients out if you’re worried about it.
I don't eat pork, can I use ground beef instead?
Ty cheap eats keep going with these ty
Put limes in the microwave for 10 seconds and they will give up their juice easier.
We don’t eat pork. Do you think this would work with ground turkey?
Found out recently i'm part Vietnamese according to DNA. It's nice to discover food from my "roots".
Wow!
Yummy 😋
Yum!
But i think you missed out on some extra flavor. You should have poured all the sauce into the pan and scraped up all that fond.
The sauce is like a dressing and is not supposed to be cooked.
@@FloLum my point still stands.
I asked and you never told me where to purchase your cook book. I searched and only found the one for a slow cooker.
I responded to your question 2 weeks ago. flolum.com/cookbook/
If i come over, can i be your food tester? I won't charge for the service.
Love your channel but why don’t you include a written recipe?
I never knew that about lemongrass, I just thought wow that's not a texture that I like. Why is it something people like it's woody and not good..
Looks yum! Too bad oyster sauce 😥
You can try using kecap manis instead.
@@FloLum Thank you! ❤

Cornoil is Not a healthy choice ...
Use oliveoil or coconutoil. ✨✨
So appetzing
Looks better than those gray nasty things with fat chunks you normally find in Vietnamese resturants.
