What if you have forgiven people in your family but you no longer want to be around them anymore. I’m done with the dysfunction and disrespect. I just don’t want to have anything to do with them. With being said Am I in unforgivness? I do feel trapped and tormented with “If you really forgave you would want to be in fellowship with them.
I beleive what our sister(Mary) here is saying, is the truth. If you can NOT have a truthful & a good relationship with your family. Than there isnt any real realtionship. I thought for many years that I had to have relationship with them. And I always forgave & forgot. 😅 But it wore me out, eventually. I really beleived that love never Never failed! Which is true! But the context it has been presented to many of us, is Not correct! But we do have to honour our parents. How do you Forgive someone who keeps deliberately using you and triggering you slandering your name and betraying you daily for selfish gain. And these ppl are supposed to be Family ..?
It sounds like you are dealing with what is termed "Malignant Narcissists". YT has some excellent videos that clue you in to the strategy and mindset of how Narcissists operate and how we get traumatized and even get pulled into "trauma bonding" aka Stockholm syndrome. They do "gaslighting", love bombing, devaluation, con artist games, manipulate you into letting your guard down to trust them, you get into wishful thinking, believing they have perhaps changed....and on and on it goes. The solution in dealing with Narcissists is "No Contact". As you cleanse their energy from your space, you can pray and find forgiveness, and you can choose to limit or stop your interaction with them, without anger, just tune in to that Divine Grace and you can forgive them, but it doesn't mean you ever condone their behavior or have to be around them. If you must be around them, there is a technique called "grey rock" which the videos explain, it is basically not reacting to them pushing your buttons, easier said than done, but many experts on the videos teach you how to manage, if you absolutely must have contact. You try to limit the contact and don't react to them, use the grey rock technique. But, No Contact is even better or at the least, Limit the Contact and Don't React when you must be in contact.
Forgot to mention....Narcissists are very easily used by Demons to put you under spiritual attack, they are kind of empty shells for them, sorry to say. So, it is vital to get a handle and take charge. I highly recommend you do a search here at YT on Narcissists and the various topics related to their techniques and the spiritual fallout they create. It can take a lot to recover and heal from Narcissistic Abuse! Be on guard and realize the spiritual threat they are, better to detach, get your space and energy back and from that place, in empowering yourself with wisdom and setting boundaries for yourself and your peace of mind, then you will be able to find forgiveness, meaning let go of anger and resentment, it is possible. @@lindascott2008 thank you I definitely know I'm dealing with Narcs however they have their whole idea of forgiveness to them if means you forget and allow them to use your energy again if that is what forgiveness is to them then that is wrong I do forgive but I have to love me more than catering to their ego. I've moved on and hope they can too.

I feel for you, I still end up dealing with other Narcs in some friendships I am trying to back off from. You know how they love to "hoover" you back into their sticky webs. ^_^
