- The three men who killed Ahmaud Arbery have been found guilty of federal hate crimes.
The jury determined that father and son: Gregory and Travis McMichael, and their neighbor William "Roddie" Bryan violated Arbery's civil rights and killed him because of the color of his skin in Feb. 2020.
The killers were convicted of murdering Arbery last year in a state trial and each received life in prison as a result of Georgia minimum sentencing guidelines.
Better turn yourself in jackie johnson while you can get a good deal. She should see all involved has gotten life sentences and now the courts coming for her. She should confess now and throw herself on the mercy of the courts.

Ahmad is in hell today. That was the only justice from this whole mess. You say that as if they ran down the man and killed him on purpose. They called the cops on a suspected criminal and followed him too closely. Had they followed him at a distance there would have been absolutely nothing wrong with what they did. As a black male living in America times are rough. We have so many anxieties that we have to deal with over the course of our lives. Many non-blacks think that our cries are not founded. Those people have not and cannot walk in our shoes. Racism is real and as a black male or a close associate of one you will definitely know the biases. I have cried so many days and nights from injustices but as the song says "Trouble Don't Last Always"!
I feel and know your pain, but I've never cried. I just got more focused on defeating the BS and made them aware that I am here to stay and will be respected.

The media keeps making a huge error in reporting this case, there was no "scuffle" or altercation when Ahmaud was shot Ahmaud rounded the corner of the truck and travis unloaded a barrel right into his gut THEN Ahmaud grabbed him in order to survive if he stayed back and put distance between them he was dead he had to stay inside the length of the shotgun he did everything right
They should have also been found to be bigots, racist, ignorant. It's astonishing that it took this long to give the family the closure they need. Hopefully, they can take solace in knowing these guys are exactly where they need and should be.
Those three things are not crimes, nor should they be (and ignorance should NEVER be demonized. It should be corrected).
That being said, I'm very glad they were all found guilty for their crimes.

The Police told them they their neighbors daughter boyfriend had caused some of the problems in the neighborhood. Because he had been to their house. Gregory was told that they had a White Male on video going into one of the cars . So you mean Ahmaud is the cause of all the those crimes. That was a lie and it was proven. Also their was domestic violence calls . A person called about a missing credit card. But if that doesn't fit your narrative it is ok. The McMichaels are going to Prison over somebody else stuff.

More empathy, respect to each other is what I pray for every day. I suffered racism myself for helping a hispanic as part of my job responsibilities. I was attacked by a Caucasian in front of a bunch of patients. He didn't even apologize after hurting my arm. My boss didn't do much about either of course being Caucasian himself because money from patients is more valuable than employees.

A lawyer with those credentials does not get "a D grade on the bar exam"... and, to be -anally retentive- accurate, the scoring system for the Georgia Bar Exam is numerical, scoring out of 400 points with a passing score of 270. District Attorney's Offices do not hire people who score low on the Bar Exam and not have an impressive resume already; they hire the best.
