Thank you! These insights are invaluable. 🙏 Especially the part about not needing to retain everything we read. I think I can finally read calmly and absorb the information without stressing about remembering every single thing that seems important.
I really recognize what you say about getting the point of a book in the first few chapters. In the typical "self-help" book they have some idea/ideas which are very clearly presented in the first few chapters. The rest of the books often seems to be just more chapters without any coherent thoughts to follow. More and more words without any real content or very confusing thoughts not really helping. It is like the ideas they have were not enough for a book, so they have put in page after page without any real meaning.

I love how you also always add article version to your vids
Awesome advice Sam. Insightful as always.
Thank you!
Good tips. Also, try reading out loud to yourself sometimes. You're more engaged with the text, and there's less chance of you falling asleep.
Yeah I find that helpful, especially with more complex texts
One of the your best videos so far lad...keep them coming. Put that camera across the room
Thanks mate!
thanks I was stressing over the futility of reading books for me to read as I'd forget about them, 14:20 was eye opening
Yeah this was also a game-changer for me
Your content is gold man, thank you !

Totally. A lot of those books could have remained blog posts in my opinion
