This was hilarious. I like how no one is freaking out despite Mario breaking the fourth wall & transforming into an Eldritch horror.😂 Funnily enough I imagined stuff like this happening with other characters in my video games as a kid.
His criticism of the movie is actually true. Like the characters had chemistry which i was surprised with and they just... didnt do anything with it. It felt like it would've been a better game than a movie.
And it’s meant to be a tribute to the legacy of the games more than anything else. And I’m glad that it did just that: It shows the appropriate amount of respect to the franchise on which it is based. It will be a complete disaster if a Mario film pretends to be deep and even attempts to give you some sort of a lecture on life.
It's just a superficial kid's movie. Adults shouldn't even be giving their opinion on it. But frankly if you allow your child to become obsessed with these "iconic" characters and brands purely intended to make money, you aren't a good parent. Get them to read a book for god's sake.
It was a mediocre film, and should never be above criticism. Even for a kids movie. Puss in Boots TLW blew it completely out of the water. There's no excuse for how mediocre the film was, especially not 'its for kids.' But people jizzed themselves over it because memberberries. Brand recognition is not a substitute for decent writing, acting, etc.

My biggest problem with the Mario movie is that no one even mentioned 9/11. It was such an important world event it really takes me out of it and ruins my immersion that no one would be talking about it.
Why do people keep bringing that up? Enter has said at least 3 times now that mentioning 9/11 in that video was a stupid thing to say, and apologized for it.
This captures the fan base so perfectly. The fans pointing out what they recognize, having a good time, and the creepy yet cool animation of Mario getting uglier as he threatens the one critic.

@@theraymunator I been a fan since 1989, and went into this film with low expectations. Objectively I thought it was a decent film. The mix of the US Brooklyn Mario with Nintendo’s world was done well, the visual style, how Bowser was straight out of the manga was nicely done. Peach was out of character for me when it comes to her voice, and some of her mannerism, like a 90s US cartoon girl power personality, but from a marketing view I see why they did it to appeal to the Western audiences. Over all from a critical view, not counting references to games the film made, it was good. Thing is not one thing is made for everyone.
Puss in Boots The Last Wish is simply the best animated movie of 2022 and became one of my favourite animation movies for sure and I'm sure I'm not the only one too

His criticism of the movie is actually true. Like the characters had chemistry which i was surprised with and they just... didnt do anything with it. It felt like it would've been a better game than a movie.

And it’s meant to be a tribute to the legacy of the games more than anything else. And I’m glad that it did just that: It shows the appropriate amount of respect to the franchise on which it is based. It will be a complete disaster if a Mario film pretends to be deep and even attempts to give you some sort of a lecture on life.
It's just a superficial kid's movie. Adults shouldn't even be giving their opinion on it. But frankly if you allow your child to become obsessed with these "iconic" characters and brands purely intended to make money, you aren't a good parent. Get them to read a book for god's sake.
It was a mediocre film, and should never be above criticism. Even for a kids movie. Puss in Boots TLW blew it completely out of the water. There's no excuse for how mediocre the film was, especially not 'its for kids.'

After many of us saw _Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,_ I think a lot of us had unreasonably high expectations. _The Super Mario Bros. Movie_ was serviceable. It didn't add any head-turning, universe-blown ideas where you start sobbing after leaving the theater, but it was still fun to watch.

It was fine, serviceable is a good word for it. I enjoyed the nostalgia factor well enough but my kids had a great time and that's what really made it fun for me.

Nostalgia rules the industry
My biggest problem with the Mario movie is that no one even mentioned 9/11. It was such an important world event it really takes me out of it and ruins my immersion that no one would be talking about it.
Why do people keep bringing that up? Enter has said at least 3 times now that mentioning 9/11 in that video was a stupid thing to say, and apologized for it.
That's true considering this movie was set in New York you would think they could pay some respect.

I fucking love Mario, but I swear Mario fans are the most weirdly complacent fanbases out there, it's like the opposite of the Sonic fanbase. The last time people got genuinely angry at Nintendo for something that was explicitly Mario related was over 10 years ago when NSMB2 and NSMBU came out, and those aren't even considered bad games anymore.

@@theraymunator I been a fan since 1989, and went into this film with low expectations. Objectively I thought it was a decent film. The mix of the US Brooklyn Mario with Nintendo’s world was done well, the visual style, how Bowser was straight out of the manga was nicely done. Peach was out of character for me when it comes to her voice, and some of her mannerism, like a 90s US cartoon girl power personality, but from a marketing view I see why they did it to appeal to the Western audiences. Over all from a critical view, not counting references to games the film made, it was good. Thing is not one thing is made for everyone.

Puss in Boots The Last Wish is simply the best animated movie of 2022 and became one of my favourite animation movies for sure and I'm sure I'm not the only one too
I actually enjoyed this movie. The theater I went to must have been partially booked by a children's party because there was dozens of kids that all knew each other somehow.
