"Another Staggeringly High Number" Robert Bates On Record-Breaking Arrivals

- The Research Director for the Centre For Migration Control Robert Bates joins Kevin O'Sullivan on Talk for a frank discussion on the continuing migrant crisis. Kevin reports that yesterday, eight boats arrived on British shores carrying a total of 526 people.
Robert confirms that the number of migrants entering the country is higher that it was last year.
They speak about Prime Minister Keir Starmer's lack of focus on the issue in his recent Rose Garden speech. Kevin makes the point that when Starmer doesn't like something, he just doesn't talk about it.

Sir Keir feels that mass amnesty and open borders has solved the immigration issue. I fear that those who feel differently may serve a custodial sentence.

It amazes me that the government distract us with the boats, yet don't add those that come in on planes to Ireland and catch a coach across the border. Come in on lo rys and I n cars, and on the Norfolk coast, which is also the rout for firearms into the uk.

You will be given 2 hours to make your case infront of a (un)Trained Home Office Official (a 28 year old Labour Activist with a Sociology Degree) - don't worry, they (not he or she) will find in your favour - then you are free to stay in the UK, and you can use your free Mobile phone to call your Family and get them to do just the same.
It was not a surprise to the Government because it is current Government policy. The real tragedy is that it is also the policy of His Majesty's Loyal Opposition. It's almost as if the policy had been created, crafted and imposed by some sort of non-elected, doctrinaire body which can not be controlled by Parliament. I suspect it is some creation of the Workfrom Home Office.

I'm really surprised that a flotilla of privately owned small boats owned and run by proud patriots hasn't already assembled, crossed the channel, spread out and defended our border. Just saying.

It is legal to request asylum on arrival, no matter how you arrive, hence none of them is arrested at Dover.
Only reversing the law, and allowing asylum claims to be made ONLY from outside the UK, will change anything.
All we need to do with the boat people is say;
No passport or documentation, you will be sent back.
So simple.
