- Joined No Hesi Assetto Corsa server for the first time with my Direct Drive Moza Racing R5 steering wheel. I decided to try out how 100% Force Feedback would feel like. Do not try this at home. Overall street racing with DD wheel is easier because the wheel inputs seem faster and more precise than cheaper wheels.

@SHINU2 the G29 has Motors with gears that spin to make force Feedback, which you can feel in the steering... theres a little bit of play. On direct drive wheels the wheel is basically straigh mounted to a really powerful motor, so no play, alot of Power and really good force feedback

You might feel faster because of the increased immersion with your DD wheel
turn on the hands off protection in the moza pit house software. when you take your hands off the wheel, the force feedback disengages. i know it works with all of moza's other wheels (the cs, rs, gs, and fsr) and i'm pretty sure it works with the es, which is that came in the r5 bundle
After the 1-2 years I've been watching Goosiest, I have never heard more terrified scream from him until today.

you should always have that R5 at 100 percent. Use the ingame settings to tune to your liking. I have an R9. Always at 100. Most cars i turn ingame down to about 55-75%
When I'm bored I turn my dd2 100% I'm kinda convinced most people are giant bitches it's not even that hard to overpower and that's in peak mode at 25nm

Doesn't the R5 have only 5.5 nm of torque? The old CSL CS2.5 had almost double and was a belt drive. I know you ran super weak FFB settings before but with that base you absolutely SHOULD be running it full force. Trust me , 5.5nm is nothing and you won't get hurt.
Exactly gt3 cars need around 14nm to feal realistic at 5.5nm I barely feel the wheel is on. When I'm racing f1, I turn my dd2 to 100%, which is 25nm peak, because it feels like it would be more realistic, but I've never driven an f1 to compare. It's not that hard to handle. But say you pick a regular car and max it its constantly trying to break your fingers.

Hahahaha, I also got my Moza R5 a few days ago, I came from a Thrustmaster T150.. I see what you mean, when I first started drifting my new direct drive wheel, I immediately left off the wheel and witnessed the 5.5 nm power.. My Thrustmaster T150 only inputs around 2 nm.. I started to get drifting practices in my R5 and got used to it. It is very satisfying to feel the fast rotation and catch the drift. I would recommend this wheel for anyone who owns the cheap Thrustmaster T150, TMX or Logitech G27, G920, G923
