    Love your videos! Definitely helping me pass Structures. One thing that bugged me, in this particular series, is how 1.) your steps are listed with the alphabet, but your process is labeled numerically. and 2.) you added an extra step "(vi) Solve for Unk Displ:"

    You really kill me with your videos you are so funny. Thank you so much for making these videos . I can honestly say that i know how to draw a bending moment but shhh don't tell my professors that I've been winging it for 2 years now

    hey at 2:24 for Moment BA, wouldn't it be 2/10 * EI * (2thetaB) + 12.5?
    Otherwise loving the explanation, thanks a lot!

    Yo structurefree now should I always consider my fixed end moments to be clockwise even if I really know their directions due to the applied load in order for this equation to work? Cuz this method seems to not make sense to me because I will have to memorize the formulas for each load type.

    Hi Sir. Structure free I have a question, how can I identify in any problem that there is support settlement or without settlement this confusing me I read a book some problem is with settlement but they don't explain it how, And how to calculate the settlement. please do problem showing how to calculate the settlement. Thank you very much.

    I have an application that I would like to use either this slope deflection method or the moment distribution method. My example is a frame that is U-shaped (upside down) and is used to support a component. The weight of the component is being transferred to the frame via two 3" feet pads. I need some help sorting the problem out. Can you help?

    • @structurefree
      @structurefree  10 лет назад

      Paul Vandenberk you should check if it's statically indeterminate first.

    • @paulvandenberk5480
      @paulvandenberk5480 10 лет назад

      structurefree Is it safe to assume that the feet that are in contact with the ground can be assumed to fixed? If so then my structure is statically indeterminate.
