When she finds out, I can buy her a fabric softener dispenser for my roper washing machine She will be ecstatic. We’ve lived here for a year and a half and I never had a washing machine without a fabric softener dispenser in my life until I saw this one. And I know you’re right about waiting till the rinse cycle to put the fabric softener in but nine out of 10 times the damn lid is locked and you can’t open it and when you pause it, it stops for a while and then all of a sudden it’ll start draining and it’s the most annoying thing for her. I think it’s a piece of crap the way they built it but you just enlightened me man. I’ve never in 1 million years thought I could add fabric softener to the washing machine and on your video I saw that they had a fabric softener dispenser for a Roper washing machines ! You might not realize it but I just hit the lotto today. I had no choice but to subscribe to your channel and everything on it and I will get a chance to look at it soon but it don’t really matter. This video was unbelievable. Thank you so much.

My top load does not have fabric softener dispenser.. I put fabric softener in the bleach dispenser.. I know I messed up.. Any idea how I can clean the clogged bleach dispenser? Thank you!
So for a GE model gtw220ack7ww Will I just have to buy my own dispenser for it? The agitator has a cap, but it just goes down and I don't want to rusk damaging it
I just called ge appliance apparently the 7ww model doesn't have dispenser and you need to put the softener in during the rinse and make sure you select deep rinse in beginning of wash
I hate these Whirlpool washers without a fabric softener dispenser! At this day in age with all of the advancements there is no excuse not to have one. They are going backwards! Should never had bought it!! Wake up Whirlpool!!

@@allcheckout if you use a magnet you can run the machine with the lid open. The trick is to find where to place the magnet to fool the machine that the lid is shut.
I ordered an aftermarket fabric softener dispenser to replace the cap as shown in my Amana Ntw4516fw3. I have not used it yet, because the dispenser just sits loosely in the hole left by the cap. Should it at least snap into place?
@@allcheckout okay. Well I already returned it to Amazon and ordered the Whirlpool parts listed in another video that was specific to my washing machine model. The two items combined were only about $27.
If there's really nothing then you can either buy something like that: amzn.to/3lrzy3d ... or you just pour it directly into the laundry from the beginning ... we have done this and also worked pretty good ...
This is like the olden days of my grandma doing laundry… before dispensers. You wait for the machine to finish first wash cycle and add it. You can set a timer once you know how long it takes your machine to get through the wash cycle. I remember my granny being so thrilled when the Downey ball came out.

I used the fabric softener dispenser ball years ago when I did laundry at the laundromat. Now that I have my in home washing machine, it’s just a pain because I have an impeller agitator..... I hate my new machine; no agitator and no fabric softener dispenser.... It sucks.. Your recommendations were good. This machine was gifted to me. It’s just I’m pissed, nothing personal to you.
If it’s the same Whirlpool agitator you can put any Whirlpool softener dispenser in them the older large ones that hold 4 cups of softener are the best. I have a fully classic 1996 model with this agitator so much better than these new unreliable and terrible sounding belt drives
Thanks, yes this thing is made pretty cheaply. I'm not expecting too much from it. It was put in by the landlord because it was the cheapest washing machine he could find.
@@allcheckout Right sorry about that maybe you can find a nice used one someday. But if you notice, on these neeer belt driven WP made machines they are using the same classic agitator from the direct driven classics, a very popular agitator so they do sell a bigger dispenser for it that holds about 3 cups of softener, the one in this video holds one cup of that I had to buy the bigger one cause I had the smaller like you have and it just didn’t hold enough, so keep that in mind if u need extra softener.

@@allcheckout Yeah I know, I just mean that's what they're trying to avoid in general by looking up a video. But you didn't include the detergent at all. I don't even really mean this as a criticism since it's not actually necessary, people ought to know already you can just proceed with that the normal way by putting it into the water-filled drum before you put in your clothes, but some people will still think you're "missing" that part if you don't include it lol. Good question. I don't know exactly how it works (it's kinda hard to watch when the lid is closed ... 🤣🤣🤣), but it definitely works ;-)))

We have an HE washer with no fabric softener dispenser and the Downy Ball does not open properly with this type of washer.

There's (almost) always a separate tray or drawer or at least opening right beside of where you ad the detergent there
