Nice to see Michael again. An Interesting conversation - I used to follow him on Twitter (before deleting my account) and his live comments during Antiques Roadshow were hilarious.
I can remember seeing a very young Michael Baggott on an episode of the Antiques Roadshow many years ago. We need to see much more of Michael, his immense knowledge and erudite enthusiasm for beautifully made old things is exactly what is missing from modern life in general, and the Antiques Roadshow in particular these days. Bless you Michael, wishing you much happiness x
Oddly, I think the American version of Antiques Roadshow actually shows more antiques. The problem is a lot of what was collected and valuable 20 years ago is boot sale fodder now and no one gets excited. (two words - brown wood) That Henry VIII spoon on the other hand...holy crow. With any luck it turns up in a boot sale for 20 quid because someone knows it's silver! RE mistakes: I have a set of them in the trunk of my car as I type. American Stangle pottery, sold so cheap it's criminal. Bought from a charity shop essentially as a donation.
Michael is an absolute font of knowledge when it comes to silver,I never tire of watching his RUclips videos,he’s a star 👏🏻👏🏻
Well done David! I've been trying to encourage Michael onto youtube for a while now - such a knowledgable and likeable bloke.
What a lovely man Michael Baggott is so glad he took the plunge to appear on TV all those years ago ...
I could happily listen to Michael for hours.
