What a great machine! You could get a lot of work done with that - with the right crew. I got one of those gas powered capstan portable winches to move firewood logs around my place - just seeing this video has inspired me to set up a highline when the situation warrants. Thank you!
Dang thats cool. Would it work yarding wood downhill? I could use something like that in my backyard, normally I would skid the logs, but they have to cross a small river.
it would certainly work for downhill, just need to use buttrigging at the moment. i have a third drum that would be in use to get the shotgun carriage back up to the logs. just need to get it rigged up .
I love the video but I was wondering what engine did you use for this because I’m thinking of building one myself and I cannot find a gas engine with a reverse gearbox?
I should very much not see such contraptions................not that I know how to use it, but I could see it useful to a semi full time firewood hoarder. That and a mini-ex yoader/shovel..............just sayin 🤔😎

Very cool! thanks for watching Austin . if you do something like this capture some video .
Seems very smart to me ! I wonder if they use yarder systems in Europe. Those behind a tractor also seems handy.
Nice to see you Mr Boone great toy to play with.thanks for sharing your time
Hi Wade ! thank you. I sure have fun with this little gem.

This has a two speed transfer case for forward and reverse. The motor is an old Briggs 10hp
Thanks
I haven’t heard that much gear grinding since you drove my truck that day…

I see it still needs a better muffler lol, you got it working way better then I ever had it.
