I have a theory, at the “end” of the first game joeys relative said “tell me another one uncle Drew” showing that Henry’s was just one story. So I’m saying BATDR is another story.
I always thought it was an endless loop because of at the end of chapter 5, Henry goes back to the studio and say "alright joey, i'm here, let's see if I can find what you wanted me to see.", like in the beginning of chapter 1.

This is a fake Henry, and Joey was telling one of his failed daughters the story of Ink Henry. And Wilson came in and stopped the Cycle from resetting. We learn this all in Dark Revival.
