- I hold this song very dear. It's a personal favourite of mine. The lyrics are so heartfelt that the line between song and poetry is almost indistinguishable.
Band: Jejune
Song: Regrets are Unanswered Dreams
You sit alone but never too long,
you cry your eyes out just like the song.
Still the same tune, still the same lie,
just making sure that it's different this time.
Now here you are, in the same dress,
spending all day, dreaming how to impress.
I never knew, could never guess.
Just can't for once lose a bet,
because I, I was pinned to the wall....
when you, you came down the hall.
We sat around not talking much,
vexed by imagining touching your hand.
So I plannedand I schemed 'cause regrets are unanswered dreams. So now you have a chance, but not for too long,
lease unrequited what you think is wrong.
But as for me, this I'd allow cause like Beryl Markham my heart knows the now.
And I'm pinned to the wall....
Cause you, you opened the door.. and I'm gonna fall.
Oh, Think of me.. don't turn away...
Vicarious one, we can blaze a trail of broken hearts together.
Vicarious one, we can blaze a trail of broken hearts together.
Vicarious one, we can blaze a trail of broken hearts together.
Vicarious one, we can blaze a trail of broken hearts together......
And I, I was pinned to the wall.
Cause you, you came down the hall.
"vicarious one, we can blaze a trail of broken hearts together" this line alone made me repeat the song again and again

I dont get it
My favorite genre is obscure band from the 90s that gets new life because of the internet
So true
Just found them, so good!
90s ?
@ definitely around that time
How is jejune not a recognized band, they are amazing
if they were on streaming they’d prob be huge
Infact give it another month or so then people would finally start giving this band the recognition it deserves
lets keep it that way, our secret :)
This is better.
it doesnt have to be, some things are best left untouched. if they want they can add their music to streaming platforms and advertise it, but in the end its their choice not to and we must respect it.
jejune is genuinely one of the best bands to ever publish music

I haven't heard this in forever, i never realized how Sundays this song is. Jejune were a such a phenomenal band.
omg i was just thinking that same thing. guess we have good ears. It sounds like something that could have gone on The Sundays Static n Silence
And there's pretty much none of their stuff on Spotify. Sadness. :(

Such a shame Jejune only lasted as a band for 4 years. They really were a gem of the 90's.
This is my new favourite song.
this might be my favorite jejune song. i love jejune so much
You know the band is good when they have female vocalists and the other members are male

This makes me feel so nostalgic for the heyday of emo.
+CD Connelly (nirvana454) What, you don't like all the bands named after days of the week?
but wasnt the heyday of emo like My chemical Romance? I consider Jejune more indie rock but thats my opinion.
Skank * Sinatra Jejune was right in the heart of 90s emo. Get Up Kids, Mineral, Promise Ring, Texas is the Reason, Saves the Day, SDRE, Rainer Maria, and Alkaline Trio. Those are emo bands to me.
@@nirvana454 yeah I know I was around at that time too going to shows.......and was listening to some of those bands too but there were also a bunch of indie rock bands that sounded very very similar (Modest Mouse was one of them) and I guess I never made that "emo" distinction in the 90s. To me that "emo" distinction and full hype didnt come around until My Chemical Romance (which I dont like btw) but its cool. Its nice to talk to someone from that era again.
Skank * Sinatra absolutely! I saw some amazing shows between 1995-2002, I would say. I think the scene really changed after Nirvana (who I love) blew up music completely. I almost forgot Appleseed Cast and Jimmy Eat World (from my hometown of Mesa, AZ). Good times.
I wore my Jejune T this week.
I love them.

This sounds more twee than emo, which is fine. But they got the Capital Emo label which is fine but this could be a Softies song lyrically!
foda
Ramenez le style emo des 90´s
underfuckingrated
💔
I guess im emo
Hey Ryan!
I'm a heterosexuaI man I'm not sure if I can relate to the lyrics because I don't know who wrote them I want to understand but I think this song is about a girl whos in love with another girl unless a guy wrote the lyrics that would make more sense to me
You don’t have to relate to understand if you feel something then you feel something
Jejune is the middle part of the small intestine why would you name your band that
damm :'(
why the fuck is this isn't on Spotify???
Spotify doesn’t have like any non mainstream bands it doesn’t surprise me
the real reason why is beacuse they had issues putting their songs digitally (labels fault) but we should be getting a digital release soon
100k VIEWS YAAYY!
30k views in 2 months is insane, they are def gonna have a new wave of fans

Is underground

anyone have 2000 miles lyrics?
Hey man idk if ur still on RUclips and this is 10 years late but here you go!
Here's one to the old times
Ever lingering around
Good old things that would have
If you'd have stayed around
All by herself(All by herself)
Maybe she knows
She'd sit so still
And there you go
And if you had her number
Would you call her when you're down?
And it would fill the emptiness
You kept when you left town?
And why are things so sad?(sad)
She's inside the hurt
We do it all again
Can't compete with Mary
She stares me down from a photograph
We can't forget she's out there
The miles that stretch beyond your ground
All by herself(All by herself)
Maybe she knows
She'd sit so still
And there you go
And if you had her number
Would you call her when you're down?
And it would fill the emptiness
You kept when you left town?
And why are things so sad?(sad)
She's inside the hurt
Do it all again
Ooooh ooooh, ahhhh, ahhhh x2
And why are things so sad?
She's inside the hurt
Do it all again
So let's hear it for the old times
They'll always be alone
They'll always be beside you
They'll always bring you down
I never said(I never said)
I'd understand
But if someday you should fly
I hope you're happy where you land
Ooooh ooooh, ahhhh, ahhhh x3
🥲
what kind of panchiko is that?!?!?!?
I thought they sounded a bit similar, too
I don't like female vocals usually but this is fucking great holy shit
I was told to listen to this and then she would call me
@2:19 wow WTF HOLY
