- Donald Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, during a "Get Out the Vote Rally" in Rome, Georgia said that 100% of Black people should vote him because “I did more for Black people than any president other than Abraham Lincoln." It’s the latest reference to Lincoln, and the latest effort to woo Black voters. And it was a bloodbath. First it was "what do you have to lose" then it was the mugshot, at least now we're talking about his record. But just how good is that record exactly?

Unemployment rates for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those without a high school diploma all reached record lows.
Unemployment for women hit its lowest rate in nearly 70 years.
Lifted nearly 7 million people off of food stamps.
Poverty rates for African Americans and Hispanic Americans reached record lows.
Income inequality fell for two straight years, and by the largest amount in over a decade.
The bottom 50 percent of American households saw a 40 percent increase in net worth.
Wages rose fastest for low-income and blue collar workers - a 16 percent pay increase.
African American homeownership increased from 41.7 percent to 46.4 percent.

What I like about Trump is how he can’t say anything without exaggerating it into absurdity. It’s not just that he’s helped black people but that he did more for them than any president since Abraham Lincoln.
And we’re lucky he gives that qualifier since he also says he’s been treated worse than any president including Lincoln. I guess that shows his humility…or maybe he’s just admitting he wouldn’t have freed the slaves. 🤔

My family has fought in every war this country has been involved in, a country that still doesn’t appreciate us as citizens/race/people. My parents weren’t allowed to vote when I was born, but through the grace of GOD they have been exercising their right to vote since the 1965 Voting Act was passed. Every person, every vote matters, we can’t give in to tyranny.
