Fred Kamaka and his wife, Elizabeth, were good friends of my mom back in the 50s when she was a Pan Am stewardess taking many flights to Hawaii. I got to meet them on our visit to Hawaii in 1988. They invited us to their home and were incredibly welcoming, even giving me a ukulele to take back. I hope they're still doing well.
