Thank you for your time and effort.
Recently changed the alternator on my citroen c5, first time i've done more than wash it and put diesel in it.
Going to put new front discs and pads on it this evening.
Thanks again.
Hallo and thank youbfor the comment,. Please note that the brakes on the c5 is not the same as shown here. You need a handbrake return tool. The c5 has its handbrake on the front.
Thank you.
I've heard that a 3/8 sq drive fits into the piston to wind it back. Each side has an opposite thread.
Haven't got that far in the job yet, the light faded, finish it later in the week
thanks i just bought one and it needs new discs and pads and pleasantly surprised at how simple they are , cheers mate
Yes its easy, glad i could help.
Excellent video, probably the best on RUclips, thank you very much :)
thank you for the nice words! glad i could help you.
Hi, another good video, I am working on a 2010 Berlingo, the Haynes manual recommends replacing the caliper bracket mounting bolts every time they are removed, whats youre thoughts on this.
David
Hi and thank you! Normally I don't replace them. But keep in mind that those bolts are 'stretch' bolts zo they are meant to torque to yield. But in most brake pad kits they include bolts.
You've saved me £££££££££££££££££, Thank you.
No problem!, thanks for the comment.
very helpful thank you for doing this video

Not forgetting to prime the wheel cylinders before driving away - otherwise it will all have been in vain. Very helpful vid BTW - well done guys!
Yes Sir, i know that feeling. Great comment!
BTW what is the size of the bit for the front studs - you said they are Allen heads size 4 - they aren't Torx?

Hello, That’s a fantastic video, I am going to do mine myself after watch this video, I have a 2005 2.0 HDI EXCLUSIVE, what size from discs would mine be, done want to get wrong ones, also what size what’s the torx bit on front of discs, you replaced urs with Allen bolts.
Thank you! I cant say what size you have. The best thing you can do is go to your local parts dealer. Most of the time they can help you. The torx I think 25 or 30. Don't know for sure. Good luck!
Regarding the job, Would the 2003 and 2005! Be the same,,ie come off exactly the same,, t55 etc
Short answer: Yes. Also I know the differences now between the 283mm and 266mm. The size... :-) just kidding. If you're car has ESP than you need the 283mm and without 266mm.
Many thanks, not sure if mine is ESP, what is that ?
Electronic stability program, most of the time you have a button some ware to switch it on or off.
