Definitely going to enjoy this reaction. Also want to say that everyone should go support the original video pyro linked in the description afterwards, because this is really well made and fun content, whether you agree with the theories or not. I watched it all when it came out, but just give it a like after you're done here.
What I love about Xaxxas's content, and why its such a breath of fresh air for the WoW scene, is that they take the lore, do their speculation, but inevitably tie it into a believable story rather than stringing a bunch of rambled thoughts together into a coherent theory. It has a point, a purpose, a single origin of start to finish that makes the final product sink with its audience. They don't just see a theory, they see potential that can be manifested into an outcome that is satisfactory. They also showcase, without restraint of the lore police, the sheer power level that could the future of WoW's storytelling if Blizzard embraced the whackiness that is the universe they made, in all of its glorious campy, high fantasy and semi-sci fi coats of paint.
If the answer is anything else than " nothing because I created you" for the what was I before question, then the blue child was not created, but ordered.
I suspect Xalatath is the blue child because of her 'upstart goddess' comment, which is strangely protective. I think Elune is part of the triple aspect, and because of that, she's seen as a lesser being by the other Titanoids. Xalatath is offended by that because, even if she no longer sides with her mother, she still considers her as much a "Goddess" as anyone else.
I really like your point of their being multiple children of light and shadow. Aside from Arator and Anduin, I think one that no one ever talks about is Dagran Thaurissan. Not only is he the child of the Dark Iron Dwarves and the Ironforge Dwarves but his mother Moira is one of the few characters in game we see explicitly shown wielding light and shadow in a balance. And coincidentally they've both gotten a lot of spotlight leading up to War Within and new unique models. They made him a mage though which is interesting.
I think the use of Mother in this story is intentional, as well as The Winter Queen calling (presumably) the same character Sister. Maiden, Mother, Crone The Fates/Hacate
She deserves her own xpac. I've maintained that for many years. She's one of the most dynamic villains produced in WoW lore. It's going to be, well...magnificent!
Maybe Elune killed An'she and/or absorbed his power and that's why she's associated with light and shadow and also why Xal'atath calls her an "upstart goddess" because she took the power of the light from her brother and rose to a position of power she wasn't supposed to hold. It would explain why we never really here about him in game or see him do anything the way we see her do stuff.
Here's different thought on Elune and Azeroth... Both of them are fragments (with Argus as third fragment and possible more) of the True Creator Being that splitted itself by some kind of cosmic event like Titan Betrayal... where Titans were originally tools... like Arceus, Unknown and some legendaries in Pokemon...
Xavius is like Illidan... wearing ruby colored glasses (seeing things from Sargeras's view point) where as Illidan sees it clearly. I assume none of the cosmic forces are capable os seeing the world as anything but from their point of view so all is to them chaos and thus a world of war. At some point I would guess what left the world is similar to Shadowlands Arbeiter (communication) between each other.
I think Eonar is a Titan, but one who is sympathetic to the cosmological force of Life She is the "Life Binder" which means she controls life, albeit somewhat maternally. My thoughts: - Azeroth is a GOD/GODDESS. She can use, be influenced by all magics and power, both greater and lessor - The leaders of their respective cosmological forces are all vying/competing to control her or claim her power - I think it is a mistake to to think that all cosmological powers have a pantheon as, I think this is the method used by ordered forces. I think that Azeroth is bound by the Titans with the intent to either order her and/or "prune away" what cannot be ordered. Maybe this is how Titans are created, by pruning away such as a skilled gardener would do to create a Bonsai. Ordered, but lesser. I believe the Emerald Dream and the Shadowlands are Titanic constructs to recycle and reform the spiritual energy of Azeroth which we, as mortals, are an expression of. The 6 elemental powers are innate in creation, a sufficient concentration and volume of which creates sentience, be it a mortal or a God Fel was always described as the obliteration of Light and Void, (like antimatter-matter) but I also feel it, and Life can be described another way which then allows all cosmological powers to work within the same model. Light (Expulsion of Energy) Which splits into: Life - The life giving energies Fel - The destructive energies Likewise, Void is the consumption of energy Which coalsces from: Order - Think "Pruning/shaping" energies Death - Life taking energy Finally, I think that - Elune is maybe a "rebel" Titan as the Winter Queen is her "Sister" ----As when the shadowlands were threatened, she sent her chosen (Titan influenced Indigenous Trolls) as fuel ----But she is known beyond Azeroth so she is cosmological in nature - Azshara is maybe a greater power who resided within an Elf body, somewhat like the way Sargeras inhabited Medivh ----My guess would be a Titan, as it would be in their interest -----It would also dovetail nicely into being the Stormrage twins' mother -----However she did get clearly corrupted by the void when her plans went to pot -----Maybe this happened when she was "abandoned" by the Titans in her, and her people's greatest need - Sargeras is maybe another world soul who couldn't quite be controlled/converted by the Titan Pantheon -----He hates the Titans and utilized the power of Fel to destroy them, but ultimately got corrupted by Fel and didn't finish the job - Azeroth is a World Soul who the Titans are currently "Shaping" I think "The Last Titan" will be something new. Like them or not "Life and "Void" are balanced between order and chaos so maybe a new character, or amalgamation of all the major player, or the ones who remain....and i think it will be a Light titan in the form of a "benevolent dictator, who's champion is the light emperor.
I think the use of Mother in this story is intentional, as well as The Winter Queen calling (presumably) the same character Sister. Maiden, Mother, Crone The Fates/Hacate Also…X gon give it to ya 😂
just rambling about, we do have a missing sun god, maybe being mother and sister isnt to far fetched if elune longed to reforge him into something more akin to her. Could explain why she wasnt willing to say what the child was and that weird response.
Im not 100% sure of how it was exactly worded when Winter queen called Elune "sister" but what if they aren't sisters by blood but sisters of religious order. Many night elf priestesses call each other sisters and night elf priestesses and Elune are quite connected
I always had thought (and hoped) that Elune was the Winter Queen, and I think that originally they even planned for it. One of the very few things that we knew of Elune was from a Xal'atath whisper that says "Elune us such an upstart goddess" and when we first meet the Winter Queen, she seems VERY upstart, she doesn't even notice the player character and ignores us and goes her way. Also, how do the night elves even know of Elune? One explanation could be - when they die, they go to Ardenweald, they meet her there, then during the rebirth (as nature souls come back), they tell the story to other living night elves of the goddess beyond, whom they name Elune. Since they call that "the long night" it made sense that the night warrior draws power from there. And the WInter Queen still has no name, and I bet it was to be Elune. But then they kept rewriting shit and making new shit up, so that scratched that for whatever the fuck reason. The Winter Queen (Elune) was supposed to be the sister of Eonar. I wonder how they are going to explain Elune now, what does the "night" have to do with her anyway
That's not what "upstart" means though lol. Upstart: a person who has risen suddenly to wealth or high position, especially one who behaves arrogantly. Xal calling Elune an upstart goddess implies she somehow forced her way into being more powerful or higher ranking that she was originally. I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that Elune seems to dabble in multiple cosmic forces (Life, Arcane, Light, Shadow) and not just Life like Shadowlands implies is her main domain. Or perhaps it refers to the fact that she seems to spread her influence across multiple words in the universe and be worshipped as a standalone goddess on multiple planets. Xal could see her as being power hungry or not "falling in line" as she is supposed to and instead expanding her influence across the cosmos and multiple domains. This would not apply to the Winter Queen as the pantheon members were assigned their role and she does it dutifully. Also, we KNOW how Night Elves know about Elune. They (the Dark trolls) discovered her presence and writings with words on Titan artifacts and relics near the Well of Eternity when they settled along it. This has been the lore for ages now. It has nothing to do with the afterlife and never has. It also flat out would have made no sense for Elune to be a member of the Pantheon of the realm of Death just based on all of the lore they set up about her since launch and in Legion, so it was definitely not intended for her to be the Winter Queen at any point.
Maybe Arator is the true child of light and shadow because he saw how X'era was willing to subjugate Illidan and had already subjugated his father (Turalyon) thus making him wary of lightborne fanaticism. Im assuming that Turalyon is going to try to kill Alleria and at "the hour of her third death (turalyon trying to kill her to stop the void) Arator will prevent his father from doing so and thus she will be free to usher in their coming. I think the light drastically overplayed it's hand in front of Arator showing it's untrustworthiness and not realizing that hes a obstinate, stubborn and free thinking person of his own.
Are we just ignoring the fact that we learned that all the leaders of each covenant in shadowlands are constructs (learned from sepulcher) in regards to the relationship between elune and the blue child. And if you follow the logic of all the leaders just being mere constructs designed to carry out their functions, wouldn't it also be safe to say each domain in shadowland is also an construct made to interfare with the "natural cycle" of life, death, rebirth? So unluess Elune made the Winter Queen in the sepulcher herself, I don't think she's nothing but a glorfied watcher. Or am I missing something?
And looking into the data base, we have the raids for the first and second patch !!! SPOILER !!!... GUESS WHAT ! UNDERMINE AND K'ARESH ! Xaxxas is a genius.... Detheroc and Azshara are coming for us !

They also added a nice mount in July in the traveler currency monthly. The mount itself was a hint of Azshara return.

She's definitely been set up to come back since 8.2 cutscene it's not a leap, could see it. Also yeah Azshara has that Dommy Mommy energy
The Blue Child turned purplish when she wandered the cosmos and found the void

16:14…. Illidan and Sargeras is a fractal of Annakin and Darth Vader. In before Sargeras says, “Illidan, I am your father” in the Last Titan!
I really hope Azshara gets the main role in Midnight, im most hyped about that Expansion.

Maybe we learn about the Sun deity more in this next expansion with the Light emperor and holy fire

Xalatath is the blue child. That's why she has knowledge about her mom.

Life - The life giving energies
Fel - The destructive energies

----But she is known beyond Azeroth so she is cosmological in nature
- Azshara is maybe a greater power who resided within an Elf body, somewhat like the way Sargeras inhabited Medivh
----My guess would be a Titan, as it would be in their interest
-----It would also dovetail nicely into being the Stormrage twins' mother
-----However she did get clearly corrupted by the void when her plans went to pot
-----Maybe this happened when she was "abandoned" by the Titans in her, and her people's greatest need
- Sargeras is maybe another world soul who couldn't quite be controlled/converted by the Titan Pantheon
-----He hates the Titans and utilized the power of Fel to destroy them, but ultimately got corrupted by Fel and didn't finish the job

Sargeras being fire would be life and rebirth. He wants to burn all the life and wait for it to start over again.
Just realized we last saw Sylvanas head into the Maw for her own journey. The domain where Helya resides.
Helya was banished out of the Maw by Primus and back into her pocket dimension.
