- The Chans manage to find the eighth Oni mask within a psychic's swamp shack in Louisiana, but lose the Hana Fuda card detailing the spell ingredient for its removal in the process. This soon causes problems when they are unable to prevent Hak Foo wearing the mask and summoning its Shadowkhan tribe. Uncle swiftly discovers the new tribe is far more dangerous, as they gain power from eating the shadows of living people and putting them into a comatose state. As Jackie and Jade work to stop Hak Foo using his Shadowkhan to endanger all of San Francisco, Uncle attempts to discover what the required ingredient is as quickly as he can.

Daolon Wong and the Enforcers have been taken into custody and incarcerated. Planning to escape, Wong attempts to summon the Shadowkhan. Instead, he unleashes an ancient evil known as Tarakudo, Lord of all Oni and King of the Shadowkhan. Jackie and crew find out that the masks have been scattered across the globe and that each mask contains the power to control a different tribe of Shadowkhan as well as a different ingredient to remove and subdue the mask.

@@guimaraespadilha the point is, he didn't realize what they were capable at first. Hak Foo judged them at face value, and so when he saw them for the first time, it was a massive blow to his oversized ego, which is why it was so funny.

I was surprised the sheep talisman didn't come into play. Uncle could have used it to enter Tohru's dreams.

Not sure it would have helped or been all that effective. Hard to get an answer out of people in dreams or take information woth you. Also like people said, it was more like he was in a coma so they might not have been able to even do that.

These shadow khans definitely were the scariest ones. They added a sense of urgency to the episode. The unlimited potential of these guys if left unchecked for even a day could have been game over.

One of the funniest moments in the whole show, and the Grand Finale for Hak Foo's S4 character arc. All that effort. All those times he complained about not getting a mask, and when he finally gets one, his shadowkhan are tiny. Comedy Gold!

The mini-khans the weakest of the shadow Khan tribes but have the potential to be the most powerful and dangerous.
I disagree! I would argue the Mini-Khan are the strongest. Yes, if you command them to fight without feeding them first, they truly are useless, but all it takes is just one Mini-Khan to sneak up on you and eat your shadow, and you're screwed! Insta-Knockout. They're the perfect assassins.

Gotta feel bad for Hak Foo in this episode. The dude wanted to rule the world with his own shadow khan army, while the rest of the Dark Hand got very powerful and deadly monsters on their side, he instead gets very tiny midgets. 🤣
At least their abilities make up for their size.
@@Asaylum117 I don’t think he wants to rule the world. It’s all about dominance with him, growing stronger and proving he’s the strongest. He’s a mercenary, selling his strength to the highest bidder. As long as he gets to fight, he doesn’t care who he fights for. I feel bad for Hak Foo because he must have had a very rough and lonely childhood with no family or friends to grow up into someone who would willingly cast aside his free will for power.

Last time, Daolon Wong tried to find the location of the Ox talisman power, in Uncle's head, but it was futile. And this is the first time, uncle had never able to keep his secrets from Miss Kimber the fortune teller, in exchange for correct answer.
Probably cause this wasn't some deeply hidden secret.

this episode kinda reminds me of the real Ghostbusters but only is a Jackie Chan cartoon 😝
It's a pity we never got to see Jackie wear any of the Oni masks. Watching his inner turmoil and panic as he slowly loses his humanity would have been gripping and hilarious. Imagine Black, Toru, Uncle, and Jade all going "Bad day! Bad day! Bad day!" as they all avoided a rampaging Jackie.
