Thank you for sharing your pixie to growth journey. I can so relate to your struggle. I did the same thing thinking the pixie cut would look so great on me and I only liked it a couple of times because my stylist would change it up and not curl it the same way each time. I workout daily and I to struggled with styling my hair. Based upon your recommendation I might try microlinks. I really don't like sew ins because I like access to my hair. I have subscribed to your page. Thanks again!
The struggle is real. I got a pixie cut after going 7 months weave free. I had gotten my 16 inches of natural hair, relaxed. It was glorious for 3 months, (from Dec 22 to Mar 23) then sections of breakage appeared. Fast forward to Dec 23, the Pixie from June 23 is in an awkward stage. A hair diva, I am not. I can barely do large cornrows on myself. Going to a descent stylist twice a month is getting costly. At this point, I'm just trying to grow my hair out without applying heat to style in the morning. The struggle is oh so real. I'm trying to educate myself and learn how to work with my hair instead of against it. Growth retention, while maintaining a classy style is the name of the game. Thanks for sharing your journey as we all learn together.
This is an excellent video. I just started growing out my pixie and I'm already reaching for the scissors because it looks "matronly". I'm older so anything that doesn't look current makes you look 10 years older and missing your pearls! I'm worried about when to relax during this period because stretching will not be an option during this phase.
Great video👍🏽! Just got a pixie about 3 months ago and already want my hair back. I workout almost everyday & teach classes but got so tired of the top knots, ponytails, braids ughh never been a fan of weaves but I do think they look nice on other ladies. Will see what happens with my grow back and won’t relax my hair myself, only my stylist SHES GONNA THINK IM NUTS CUZ I just chopped it all off😂
This is the video I have been searching for 😭😭THANK YOU. I always get to an awkward length and feel the need to cut my hair again 🥴I’m throwing the scissors away
I can so relate. I’ve tried several times to grow out my short cut. However, I don’t like the growing out phase on myself. I can’t wear many protective styles because of my edges. I may consider the micro links.

Microlinks were good for my hair back then, now I’m letting it grow out

I can def relate! I think you can keep with your same routine but start to stretch it as your hair grows longer.

Needed this so bad Thankyou!
I appreciate how in depth this was! **invis ink** I’m strongly considering going back to relaxing my hair 😅
Lol I feel it! Honestly very satisfied with my decision
Really hope u make it to waist length. Your hair is growing beautifully
Thank you!
I can't leave the clippers and scissors alone 🙃
Thank you for sharing.
Amen ❤
story of my life!
I have a question. All you did was stretch your relaxer? I’m stuck
Did you cut that tail in the back off at all during your growth stage?
I didn’t have a tail, I had a fade so it just grew out
Is there anyway I can message you? I’m stuck at pixie cut
