Just curious with practicing these exercises the take 2 bar exercise and changing the starting beat exercise etc or just when you go to solo to listen back would you recommend using a backing track and metronome or both? Your videos are super inspiring and helpful thank you so much!
Thank you for your kind comment! I think backing tracks are fine, but think of them as training wheels. Once that's going well, try with a metronome, and eventually also try keeping time alone and seeing if you miss beats, speed up, slow down, etc
