If Michael Romeo and Yngwie Malmsteen can make barre chords with their short fingers, I think you can too! lol, but seriously, it just takes practice and perseverance. Barre chords are difficult no matter how long your fingers are. Keep at it!
The only thing I can say is that there are no real shortcuts or tricks to it. You just have to keep trying it until your fingers get strong enough. It sucks, but the more you do it, the easier it gets.

Great tutorial! I just wish my index finger wasn't too small to use bar chords. It just doesn't sound the same with power cords
