★★ABOUT US★★
💬 We're Sean and Jessica from the USA and are now expats living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands since 2014. We travel all around Europe to discover new places, good food, and memorable experiences. You'll also find a bunch of Amsterdam content because we love our new home city! Follow our European travel adventures for food and fun 😄

I recently immigrated to the Netherlands and brought a pack of Mucinex with me. I then got sick three times in the last four months here and used my entire supply. When I was back in the states a few weeks ago I stocked up on the “goods”. Also I got a package of pork Shake and Bake and Mrs. dash seasoning.
Seasoning is a big one! Sean bought Greek spice when we were back 😂
Getting sick so many times may also be your body in a new environment and not being used to the germs here. We also had that, but it's not as much of an issue now. Hopefully it won't last long for you!
Hello from Roanoke! Watching some videos for an upcoming trip to the Netherlands and saw this one talking about Va stuff, small world!
Hello, Roanoke! I'm so glad you found me. It's definitely a small world and I love that!
Tide pens and allergy meds are on my 'to buy' list when I head back to the US next week!
Have a great trip!
I carry Imodium tablets with me when traveling, you never know...
Yessss. Good one! I bought them at Schiphol when we went to Bali.
Immodium, Ibuprofen and Norit (medicinal charcoal) are the only medication I take with me on holidays to tropical countries.
So cute, sharing your child memories regarding food things, some of the things you can buy in Amsterdam! 👍
Thanks for watching! Which things can you buy here? It would be handy to know since I don't go back often 😊
@@aWanderlustForLife go to Tabeya Expat shop, that where I bought your Maple sirup, and The Juniors Food Market and Kellys Expat Shopping, I am sure you will find something you like! 👍
I do go to Kelly's at times, but the prices are a bit high. It helps in between trips home though ☺️
That's good to know about any of the allergy products with "D" at the end of them. I usually take Allegra-D if I were to get a flareup with seasonal allergies for any reason as decongestants are very helpful. That's probably something I would bring overseas if I was an expat. The Tide sticks are also in my luggage too every time I travel. They are so helpful!
They do have other types of allergy meds, I know because I have friends that have tried them all. But sometimes it's nice to have what you know works 😉
They say pepto is not good for you here. The doctor told me the symptoms get worse after pepto. I don’t know 🤷
Oh wow! I hadn't heard that. I'll have to dig into this a bit more but if anyone sees this comment and can elaborate, please do.
Thanks for sharing!
i have a friend in finland who asked me to bring her dramamine because it's not available over the counter there.
Yeah and it can be different even throughout Europe! It's hard to keep track.
