Scenery is quite nice and peaceful. Not sure I see the point of 7 minutes' footage of running up a hill.
It means the participants can watch themselves, if they like. And those that want to get an overview of the race and a feel for the real distance between runners can get that. Advantages and disadvantages, I guess. :-)
