Great choice of a cover!!! Mark Linkous was/is one of my all time favourite songwriters. So sad when they leave us, too many suicides in my life and this one hits me where I live.
My best friend almost committed suicide three months ago. The trauma will never compare to actually losing them, but that still left a scar on both of us I think will take a long time to heal. It happened on a Thursday morning, and they didn’t stop feeling like that until Saturday. I thank god or whatever’s up there everyday that they’re still alive. Even if they’re distant now, I’m so fucking glad I still have them. My heart goes out to all those who lost friends or family to suicide. I personally have been struggling with suicidal thoughts, and this song is like a life raft in a sea of sadness. I will forever love this band, even if they didn’t make this song themselves.

I don't think many people can...some people hit rock bottom and have emotional breakdowns, and consider it (I have before) but I will never understand the kind where it lingers on to people for years with mental illness. Even though people like me can't understand, we should still try our best to give depressed ones the help they deserve. It's devastating how badly people can brush off depression and suicidal people as "troubled." Mental illness is hard to grasp and it fucking sucks.

They're great and she doesn't need auto-tune, it's also just an audio engineering tool to keep a singer's voice within certain frequencies so the mix can sound better. This is their style of music, and covers are meant to be covered in an artist's style, unless they try and recreate the song, which is more like a tribute. Also willing to check out the original version.
