      Believe me it is not easy to lose one sibling or to lose one's family. I should know because when my grandmother passed away I would have given anything for God to take five years off my life so she could live longer. Because every time I go to my aunts house I see a chair that she once used to sit in and even though it's an empty chair it's still not easy to look at because when she was there sitting in that chair it felt like home was not ugly because when she was there it felt like I was at home

I believe it in my heart that this scene shows that he was crying his heart out and I'm very certain that God forgave him and Paulie is not alone because he's got his best friend and brother and they looked after each other until he left the Earth. I believe in my heart that Paulie and Adrian are at Eternal peace with God. When life throws you wrenches and yes it does hurt even the past can hurt but the only thing that God wants you to do is make peace with your past but also make peace with him because God is there for you all you got to do is ask for him. When life throws your wrenches and the pain hurts there's only one thing you can do and that is to learn from your past and get up because God loves you and he knows that you will not give up on him because he loves you so much in fact he loves you more than any parent on this planet ever could.

    2:48 "If I'm going to be lonely, I'd rather be lonely with you.." Paulie did a good job in this scene. Kinda sad when he reflects on everything and makes him upset thinking he was a nobody and Rocky was all he had in life. Rocky was very good at making him feel better again. Yes, there are many good moral lessons found in the Rocky films, and one that is not often talked about is how such a tough guy like Rocky truly possesses a kind and merciful heart, even toward his "enemies" in the ring. He doesn't behave hatefully toward them; he does his talking with his fists inside the ring. Outside the ring, he shows people kindness, gentleness, and tolerance -- even toward guys like Paulie, whom most people would scorn.

    I absolutely love how attentive Rocky is to Pauly about his need of someone. He never turned his back to Pauly even tho Pauly wasn't so nice to him. He was family. We've all had that moment of loneliness in our time of need. I wish I had someone like Rocky to be lonely with. Fantastic scene. Love this.

    I've never been moved by the Rocky movies as I was moved while watching this scene. It brought tears to my eyes, not only because of the scene which is very sad, but also when I think of the passage of time! I remember when Rocky and Adrian first met, which was the very first Rocky movie. It was the early to mid 70s, and I was thirteen years old. I'm 57 now, and Rocky and I grew old, and like him, I saw the people that I loved the most in this world pass away. It seems like yesterday, but what an enormous amount of time has passed!
    Time takes away your youth, your strength and everything and everyone you've ever loved. How crushing!!
    I hope there is a heaven because if there's not, our tears will never be wiped away!

    • @RejectedSpiritX
      @RejectedSpiritX 8 лет назад

      Joe Lazarus Yes, but even then, being a loan shark isn't legal, and Rocky assaulted the thugs unprovoked. In a criminal world, not even defending yourself will save you from a charge.

    • @Tusc9969
      @Tusc9969 8 лет назад +2

      ***** Grazzo was the loan shark and Rocky was his enforcer. Rocky followed orders and it was a job that he hated doing since he didn't have an education...but he needed to eat. The scene where he declined to follow Gazzo's orders to break the guy's thumbs was meant to show the type of character he is.
      I'm not saying he was a walking saint or christ himself...
      Just that he in general was not a bad person with a malicious nature who hurt or bullied ppl for no reason. He just wanted to better his life and rise above all that to be somebody.
      He worked so hard and took a lot of beatings just to lose it all in the end.
      Lost his family...His own son who's the only living relative he has left didn't even bother to stop by and visit him.
      Rocky deserved better and I hope Creed jr gives it to him in their new journey.

    Paulie is one of the oddest characters ever, in the first film he abuses Adrian emotionally and mentally (which makes what I think is the actual most powerful scene (when Adrian finally stands up to him) work so well) but is also Rocky's friend, then he becomes the goofy comedic relief, then a sad figure in Rocky Balboa. The "I miss my sister" is very heartbreaking but again it's so weird to think what this character did in the first film.

    • @michaelbest7872

      woollybully..., Hi. I think I understand your words, though they are a little different than mine. In the first movie, Paulie was a young, uneducated guy, without wisdom, working a union job, and probably at a minimum wage. Now, in this movie, Paulie understands his faults, as seen in this heartbreaking moment. This is (among other reasons) why I feel this deleted scene should have been a part of the movie.

    It made me cry too! What really makes this movie stand out is the fact that those two actors carried much of the scenes(by themselves ) so well. It takes great talent to hold an audience's attention, and they pulled it off incredibly well. Sly Stallone has a rare talent for bringing out the emotions in people. The critics tore this apart,but what do they know? It worked for me.

    "If I'm gonna be lonely, I rather be lonely with you," that kills...

    This is a powerful scene. When you know Rocky and you know Paulie this is powerful. This film needs a directors cut
