WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but I have been moving and living in different countries due to the nature of my work. I’ve lived in countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
Rich Brian, Nikki & Warren Hue they all Indonesian. Born & raised in Jakarta.
Warren is the 4th Indonesian artist who join 88 rising. ( after Rich, Nikki, Stephani Poetri ) He is only 18 years old and same like Brian, he also a rapper.
In this MV they bring a glimpse of everyday life style in Indonesia and in most Asean country.
A box of teh kotak, kids playing Congklak. The fathers killing time by playing chests, sat in front of a fan to ease the humid & hot weather , a dinner table with moving circle tray in the centre with fried noodle, tofu etc

The fact that this song is about Indonesian kids that managed to chase their dreams and three of them are attained the same career in California makes me feel :") ... there must be many struggles that they have to face, but I hope they know that they're doing better and a lot people are proud of them!!
