    I thought this harmonium was beautiful and this piece suited it very well. It reminds me of a music box like that with the ballerina spinning. Very good taste. Thank you Jonathan. ❤🥰😍😘🎶🎹👍🙋🏻‍♀️

    What an enchanting instrument! I love the combination of bell sounds with the harmonium! I've just discovered another new form of music I wasn't aware of before. This piece is delightful, and I'd love to hear more like this! Thank you Jonathan for this little gem, played on this gem of an instrument! Thanks Tom for the superb recording! ❤ 🎹 ❤

    It is really interesting to hear the different type of sound between the percussion of the steel bars versus the slower onset of the reed stops.

    What a unique and wonderful instrument. The bass drone effect is something I’ve never seen before. It’s as if one had a pedalboard suddenly attached.

    Interesting to note the mechanized ability to sustain the two drone bass notes without jamming pencil wedges at the backs of the keys.

    Magnificent. Just when you think it doesn't get any better, Jonathan locks in a bass drone using some secret mechanism. The instrument seems in fine fettle.

    Another feature I could see is that you can lock keys down on this instrument to be used as drones.

      If you watch the whole concert Jonathan uploaded from the Orgelpark in Amsterdam (on this channel) he plays a variety of organs and also the Celeste-Harmonium.
      In that concert before each piece is played he talks about the instrument and gives a talk about this instrument.

    I think this has a blower. I'm wondering - are there any clips of Jonathan playing an instrument where you have to pedal? (And no, I don't mean a pedalboard of course - we know he's great on those!)

    • @epincion
      @epincion Год назад +1

      He has uploaded a whole video about harmoniums and you see there how he pedals the blower
