❤BIBLE VERSES OF THE DAY❤ ACTS 17:26-28 NIV 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[b] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
A great movie? Agree but historically completely inaccurate for ex William Wallace was not a farmer but a nobleman and the battle at Stirling is also shown wrongly. In the movie it is on a field while in real it was at a bridge, in fact it is the battle at Stirling bridge
I was 10 years old when this came out and i watched it with my bigger sister (haha, yeah too young i know) but this was the thing that made me cry and my sister noticed that and cried with me when i told her why i cried. I had just got married and rented the movie. Asked my wife if she wanted to watch it and she said no and made fun of it. I fell asleep. When I woke up she was watching it and really into and crying. I made fun of her then we watched the rest together
People love to point out that this movie is not historically accurate. The opening line of the film says "historians from england will call me a liar". Props to Mel Gibson on that epic troll.

Braveheart, Last samurai, Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, With Fire and Sword. All this movies have smaller or bigger connection whit history all have big battles, and all are incredible one of best created movies in history.

This is one of the funniest movies ever. Gibson deforested Scotland chewing on the scenery so hard. There were so many jokes & memes of blue painted people. I like this movie for all that. I think."Prima Nocta" is something that they made up for this movie. I'm not sure if you know very many white people from California, but this movie was made by them!
Agamemnon I believe is who you are referring to. Seems complicated, but it's not that bad. Just space it out. Agga - mem - non. Then put it all together. :)
This movie was made because of Mel Gibson. He was walking around London and saw blue placks around London that tell you about history of the uk ( they are all over the UK) He saw the one on London Bridge about William Wallace and was so shocked about it he looked into his story. He had a screenplay brought together. He starred, directed and produced the movie. He is long gone now but I still remember him sitting in my lap through the entire movie and how the movie moved me with its story. To this day I remember them both.
This is a great movie and even though it isn’t 100% accurate on the historical facts, it accurately relates the reasons why the Scottish hated the greedy, arrogant and brutal English government and their amoral lackeys (my paternal ancestors come from the Scottish highlands).
loved your review,- William Wallace was a real Scottish hero, and his death was more brutal than was seen in this film, we have a national Monument dedicated to him. The princess of Wales was three at the time of his death and was living in France. Robert the Bruce was not at the battle of Falkirk fighting for the Scottish or English. The Irish did switch sides but came over to the Scottish side the night before. The shortest distance between Scotland and Ireland is 16 miles across the Irish sea. Scotland did win its freedom at the battle of Bannockburn in 1314 were there is a monument to Robert the Bruce and a visitor centre. you should watch the Outlaw King which is historically accurate and shows how Robert the Bruce became king.

Another really good movie that is a similar story from that movie is the movie called OutlawKing it stars Chris Pine it's told by the point of Robert the Bruce and being the king of Scotland and his battle against Edward Longshanks you should check it out
Great reaction to Braveheart. So well written and so well directed by Mel. You can tell the commitment that this film had to have from all involved by what is on the screen. Another multi-Oscar winning historical epic that I would highly recommend is Kevin Costner's directorial debut, Dances With Wolves (1990) For a lighter turn: Field of Dreams (1989) Phil Alden Robinson. Is another great, and iconic Costner film.
According to court records of that time, William Wallace actually did say those words, about longshanks not being his king, and therefore didn't agree with the charge of treason. William Wallace was 'hanged, drawn and quartered' and beheaded. The audience was spared the details of the ordeal William Wallace had to go through, on the day of his execution. First, He was dragged naked by his heels behind a horse to the execution site, at Smithfield, London. First he was hanged, and before losing consciousness, dropped down to the ground. Then, The 'rack' pulled all the joints out of their sockets. After that, while still alive, his genitals were removed, cut out, and thrown in a fire before him. Then, while still alive, his abdomen was cut up, and his entrails spilled out, and were removed, and thrown into the same fire. The executioner then cut out Wallace's heart, and then William Wallace was beheaded. Finally, the executioner quartered William Wallace (cut off his arms and legs).
Think of this movie similar to Titanic. While the events are based in historical events, the storyline was very dramatized. Some is still debated by historians but probably more true than they want to admit. Wallace's sword is 5ft 4in long and is housed in the Wallace Monument in Stirling, Scotland. Robert the Bruce went on to become a great king. His daughter, Marjorie de Bruce, married the first of Scotland's Stewart line of kings. Cousins to the royal Scottish throne, Stewart rebels led and fought in the 17th century against the English again in an attempt to place the rightful king on the throne of Scotland. The battle of Dunbar in 1650 was lost to England, led by Oliver Cromwell. The prisoners were marched to Durham Cathedral and then shipped to the Americas as slaves to the British colonies. Among those who survived the trip were James, Duncan, & Alexander Stewart, sons or Alexander, 4th of Invernahyle. Alexander was my husband's first ancestor in America as a slave.
King Edward (Longshanks) was technically not "English". He is what is called Anglo-Norman which is a kind of french/viking/saxon mix. He spoke french not English. Most of his soldiers were Normans themselves. The actual "Anglo-Saxon" common people, much like the Irish, were pressed into service under pain of death and/or loss of property. They may have fought the Scots, but they had no issue with them personally.
Wow that "pigtails" look good on you ☺👧. By the way I would like you to react to Angel Heart, it is a great movie. Sure you may be interested. I send you a greeting.
Despite how he's portrayed in the film because he's the main bad we are supposed to hate him. But King Edward "Longshanks" the 1st was one of Britain's greatest monarchs he was a warrior King was known for his fierce and unpredictable temper and was quite intimidating one time and I'm not joking King Edward actually caused a priest to die out of fear who fell over and died....yeah he literally scared a man to death. But he did had a softer side only his Wives/Queen consorts Eleanor of Castle and Margaret of France brought out that side of him, one things for sure was that King Edwards loved his Wives. After the death of Queen Eleanor, King Edwards became the intimidating conquering warrior King he was always known for but after he married Margaret of France who despite being much younger than him and their marriage was to form a truce between France, Margaret came to love her new husband and King, just after they got married he went to continue his campaign in Scotland in the north while Queen Margaret now pregnant stayed in London but after a few months she got bored and lonely so she decided to go to Scotland to be with her husband. The action surprised and pleased him so much it reminded him of Eleanor. Margaret also saved many subjects from the King's wrath calming him down like his Eleanor once did.
I always tell ppl. We all sit in theaters and see the hero fight for freedom and justice. And sometimes they die. We all identify with the hero. We always sit in our seat saying. We would never follow evil. we will always do the right thing. YET the pass two years. Where did most ppl do? were they the hero? or where they the villain? it's a very hard thing to hear and accept, but many of us have not walked the path of justice or the hero. I can say i didn't fold and will never fold

I loved the whole reaction, but you trying to pronounce Agamemnon was the funniest thing I've seen all day! 😂
I enjoy people's perspectives when watching reaction vids, and Cal-Blend's triple father-son analysis was pretty interesting. She has depth...
Wow that "pigtails" look good on you ☺👧.
By the way I would like you to react to Angel Heart, it is a great movie. Sure you may be interested. I send you a greeting.
Oh My Gosh. You are breath taking. I am 52 years old, and my heart is beating a little faster. If today is my last day...WOW. Hang on...WOW!
This was your best reaction so far. :)
Sadly, over history, freedom has always been fleeting, while tyranny has been the baseline, default state of human society.
Cannot ever watch this again...too painful but Awesome! Like The Green Mile
Your reaction to William seeing The Bruce betrayed him was so genuine. Wonderful reaction to this wonderful movie. Cheers 🥃🥃🥃
Movie suggestions. The Imitation game (true story). The Boondock Saints. Taking Chance (Phenomenal). Top Secret. Awesome channel too. Love the accents you do as well
I am very impressed by your ability to mimic the accents you hear in movies even after a few seconds of dialogue.
"Stephen is my name. I'm the most wanted man on my island, except I'm not on my island, of course. More's the pity."
This girl/woman is such a joy to watch and listen 🤗
38:35 I can’t get my head around watching someone be hung drawn and quartered… I can’t even watch it in movies/TV knowing it’s fake! How can anyone in that society have been okay???
